I travel for work a lot and I often try to get some workout in at the hotels . I have found this shoe is the perfect shoe for my lifestyle ! It is so comfortable to wear all day long , site visit and site seeing and also performs well in a hotel gym or some light morning jog ! This shoes is more versatile than specific . Which is great cuz I have my training shoes at home for serious weight lifts .
Great review. I’m kicking around a few different options for a cross trainer for use at work as a FF. I like to start my workout with a 2-3 mile run at 8:30 pace then working some KB’s and free weights. No heavy lower body movements. Would you recommend these or any other options? 9:52
Love your reviews. I was going to get them since they are light. Now I’ve changed my mind after watching your review. They actually remind me of Mizuno Wave Prophecy.
Before getting the x4 I did test the mizuno wave prophecy in the store, but this are much wider in the front and felt a bit more comfy for me so I got them. After breaking them in for a week now it's even more comfortable to wear all day.

What are the best On shoes for lifting? I really like these but they don't have my size in stock. I've ordered the Cloudpulse and Cloudnova X to compare.
Eh, these are some of the wider options. Some of the runners can feel wider due to their upper materials, but if you're 3E+ width, then it will be tough to find a solid fitting option from On, imo
Hi Jake, shoutout from Singapore! Been a fan of your reviews and you’ve helped me a ton with my training shoe choices without you knowing how much you’ve impacted the community in the best of ways. I would love to know how you would pit the CloudPulse against the Cloud X4 Thanks again and keep up this amazing work. Aspiring to be like you too! ❤
@@HeiryI cloudpulse has a wider platform and is a little more bouncy, whereas the x4 will be plush but will have a more “stable” feeling comparatively speaking. Cloudpulse for hiit, x4 for lifting with cross training. Thank you so much for checking out the channel!
Hi is the mid foot cage of Cloud X4 shoe tighter and narrower than Cloudflow 4? Also I’m wearing US 11.5 on Cloudflow 4, so what size should I get if I want the X4?
You’ll want to find something with a bit more density through the midsole and a flatter last in general. With your training, what does it normally look like?
Hi Jake - Looking for a HIIT training shoe mainly for class purposes but I also run a mile or two a day - Free Metcon 6 or ON Cloud X 4? Your videos are great, thanks!
Great Q - both can work great. If you want a flatter midfoot and a bit more stability, go Free Metcon 6. Cloud X 4's arch can be more pronounced and their lack of lateral support can be a turnoff if that's a big ask for you in classes.

If you haven't already, do NOT buy x3 AD! Their upper is made from thin mesh - both of mine had tears from regular (non-gym) use near the pinky toe after less than 3 months post-purchase. Never had it happen with any other sneaker.
@@dimamal classic On shoes. That forefoot tear happens for certain foot anatomies. Question for my data collection, do you have a wider foot that presses into that lateral side wall pretty hard?
Thanks for the great review, stops my impulse purchase. Are there any lightweight alternatives you would recommend or x3/4 is good enough for gym running and machines? (I lift barefoot so the extra stability doesn’t really matter to me)
