I’ll be 75 soon and still can’t get enough of that sound! Music as far as I’m concerned!
God Bless
How’s life treating you brother?
Well at Iam 72 and this is sweet music
350 .60 over a thang to be reckon with..winter time was her favorite
It's real, what I mean is your have a flywheel, clutch and trans attached. Most people post engines which just a flex plate and are impressed with the throttle response which is misleading. Thanks for a real world engine video of how its going to sound in the car with the proper rotating mass attached !
Yes that amazing, no hesitation, have a smooth exchange between high and low regimen. That perfect.
I'm from the pre LS era and it's good to see a build like this. I can relate to that motor,it sounds mean...lol
LS is the way to go now though.
Depends on the application
An I'm from the Ls gen an . This is were it started but never knock Ls. Get with it or get left behind it's a reason why Gm. Updates there motors now it's the Lt
Gm ls lt FTW
@@ronniehenson4122 ls and newer lt motors are superior in literally all categories.
@@ronniehenson4122 I found a 02 ls1 that come out of a c5 corvette. I'm looking to get it rebuilt and put it in a 86 as monte carlo ss. Any advice on it? A
I need to find this soundtrack for my relaxation therapy. Listening to millennials revving their Hondas with exhaust leaks stresses me out.
LOL! Thanks!
Right there with ya bud.
Thought I was the only one.. my ring tone is my cars first start w the new engine..
Nothing sounds as sweet as American v8 muscle
They call those " mufflers" fart cans..
Amazing it was great to hear my baby again!❤
That's how you tell I Motors in time when the fan looks like it's sitting still well-balanced
It looks that way because the fan speed is matching the Cameras frames per second
nice build. thanks for sharing. almost done building my 5.7 and i took it .060 over. 906 gasket matched heads. stage 2 hydraulic roller cam .545 lift. i have to change the valve springs and finish the installation. going into a 99 tahoe. obs body so early 99. hope it sounds as good as yours lol
Good luck!
Nothing better than the sound of a sb350
That's going to give someone lots of trouble, not because it's 60 over, but because it's going to eat tires and get tickets
I built the same motor yeah 60 over works good lots of horsepower when you're in a modified and you need it at the end of the straightaway
This motor pulled the front end off the ground like my small block 400 did
Sounds healthy!!! Good motor that will definitely surprise some people!!! 😀
This nice, i have a 1949 Chevrolet 3100 5 window pickup. It has and old 350 balanced and blueprinted, with a 350 turbo trans. The motor has a little over 400hp - 380 or more torque. The truck took along time, it sat for 4 years in Caldwell, Idaho. But the last 2 years I dumped about 45,000 in it. I have a great chassis with brembo brakes, everything new. But for a year or so I was thinking dumb the engine, and go Ls- 3 6.2 - 4l80e transmission, and I could get alot more for the vehicle if, i sold it with that platform. But you know I just like the old school motors, and I'm going to ride it out for a few years. The ls is very popular and everyone seems to have a swap done in their old school. But it sounds so good and the motor is very strong, and now I though about later changing the motor and going maybe Sb2 nascar motor, I like those old 7000-8000 + rpm motors. NA. I know I'm rambling, but that motor is very cool you, put together. It's really cool brother take care.
Sounds good and when a motor like this one it needs to warm up that's a good build good job brother
Thank you!
My 400 is 60 is over. No overheating issues either. Thin between the cylinders, however, they wouldn't make a gasket that size exactly if it wasn't done. It's a sleeper with a quiet exhaust system.
You've done a magnificent job on that 350 man congratulations
Thank you! Thanks for watching
@@ronniehenson4122, the rumor was the cylinder walls will blue from being to thin. Leading to cylinder going out of round
Have the sonic tested if your worries about it OR half fill them with Hardblok
Nice job with the "Black Widow!"
Thanks!
Sounds good I like the sound I'm old school ran alot of 383 dirt tracking
I just pulled 350 .080 over out of my S10, love your Build
.80 over how did that work out, my friend just built an .080 over 350 its a stock block i wouldn't have done that
350 blocks with the 880 casting # on the block have extra meat to go .080 all the time. I ran one in my drag car at 6.20 8th mile tracks! No problems I traded the motor for a supposedly 496 ready for assembly and I had to bore it out because of 2 cylinders that were not good! The guy who got my engine put a big nitrous kit on it and blew it to pieces on the first outing ! I won the state championship with that motor in 2014 just running on gas so if he would have used probably a 150 shot it would have been okay but no he had 2 kits!
Nice sure like to have that in a 55 Belair! Brings back memories! Thanks for sharing the Widow!
Glad you enjoyed it
Standard size overbores (up to .060 over) are not an issue unless the block suffered core shift during casting. Just get the block sonic tested before you start poking bigger holes in it.
I love the music, nice job!
Thanks!
Sounds gr8. People fail to realize that .060 is less than a sixteenth of an inch. Divide that in half and thats what you took off.
Sounds beautiful!!!! Melodic marching horse!!! 2:11 NO HESITATION!! WHAT'S THE SECRET???
Years of experience in building engines and Holley carburetors . Making sure everything is set correctly before firing it up and proper tuning.
Sounds dam good i need it for my 1979 vette.
Thank you!
That's what I got for my Chevy truck 90, L31 roller motor .60 over
Nice, they'll never better a SBC.
Sounds good. Farely quiet
Somebody tells me not to bore it .060 over, I'm going .060 over. Now get out of my way!
LOL! Thanks!
Exciting. Thrilling. Spectacular. Excellent work on the Black Widow !!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!
@@ronniehenson4122 What I typed to you was a short version of my long winded admiration of your skill. I've been running bow tie small blocks for decades. Black Widow is a real prize.

Nice nothing like an old small block
0:57 carburetor gasket fly off
Good lord that things sounds good!
Thanks!
Love it. Nice build. I need one of those, the whole set.

Nice healthy sounding small block.

DAMN THOSE WHERE THE DAYS WHEN U ONLY NEEDED A SCREWDRIVER AND A HAMMER AND FIX IT OR BREAK IT
She’s not bad at all; running a 360 in my c10 and chirps on a dime. Subbed to ya brother looks like we got some stuff in common. Chevys and fishing! About start tearing bacc into my c10 stay tuned
Thanks! Will do...
Nice the skill that you have to build power plant like that is a dyeing thing keep up the work and pass the skill forward
Thanks, will do!
The old black widow sounds sweet
Thank you!
I sure would love to have one of those stands , great video
Thanks 👍
when I was in college had a bracket car, 71 camero, 350 +0.030, 11.5:1, .485 lift, 235 duration, powerglide, 3000 stall, 1/8 mile
didn't have the video cameras we have today, really wish I had some footage with sound
your engine is fantastic, love the sound
Thank you!
Nice. A guy I know runs them 60 over with brodix, spread port dash 10's A lot of compression all roller big 640 lift cam 240 duration magneto distributor. Wet drive belt best of everything, gives it a really big sniff and runs low 10 second quarter mile times in a Chevy s-10 truck ! So there you have it! Cat outta the bag😂 the little 350 Chevy is not junk! Try one like I said here! If you can afford one lol that's built all the way far as possible. They used those brodix, heads on circle dirt track is where this secret build come from. Ed the backyard sniper man😀✌
Thanks
Ronnie, Nice Job.... sounds great !!! Stay safe, ALL the best from Australia :-))
Thank you! You all stay safe.....
SWEET SOUNDING CHEVY MY MAN !!
The architecture of the Chevy small block is in my opinion, second to none. I specialize in the 350/400 crank 383 cu.in. I have consistently gotten in the 500 hp. 485 lb.ft. using pump gas. Heck....last year I put one in a '69 Mustang Fastback. The owner jokingly mused that it might be a felony in Ohio to put a Chevy engine in a Ford !! LOL.
Kind of hard to knock the combination however. After playing with the gearing of a 5 speed manual transmission, he consistently hits the low 10's in the Quarter Mile. ( with Zoomies open). On the open highway, the beast gets 26 mpg. There is just NOTHING like the venerable Chevy Small Block. I am currently in the process of building my 73rd one. You put together a very nice one there buddy. I know what you are saying about the .60 over jive. Those blocks can take anything you throw at them...GOOD JOB !!
Thank you!
Hey Bruce I'm currently saving some funds to build a 383 stroker, can I ask what parts you used to consistently get to 400-500 ponys? Heads, cam, intake and carb
Looks and sounds absolutely bad ass!
Thank you!
WTF... Whoa ! Good sounding mill... !!
SOUNDS GREAT!🚀
Thank you!
All I can say is nice!
Bet your neighbors love ya!
Nope! lol
I’d be there right beside you grinning ear to ear.
Sounds Great. I like your stand setup👍
Thanks! 👍
I dont bore my SB chevys to .060 over unless its needed. Only if the motor had wear in the cylinder bores where i had to. I keep my builds to the .030 and .040 over. You can make blocks with smaller bores put out just as much as bigger bore. Built a .030 over 350 with 11.1 pistons full roller that I ran in my race car, ran 9:80s all day long every weekend for 4 years then sold it to a guy who still runs it today. Nice build you got and sounds fresh.
Sounds like a ripper love to see it in a car
God I hope mine turns out like this, pretty close to what I'm trying
Thank you!
Good luck!
Sounds wonderful!
Sounds good, more mild than what I'm normally building. Does sound like an exhaust valve isn't seated good. Should ALWAYS do a valve job. I've done many vj's on heads from skip white, brodix, dart, afr, and others right out of the box that are not correct. Infact, I've almost never seen a set come correct.
sounds beautiful
I have a400sbc 30 over skipping white 274 headsand hi-tech injection can't beat these heads
I love them, great power
Sounds like the startup of a P51 Mustang! Great sound!
Sounds great!
Did anyone else see @:59 seconds ?? Was that a belt that flew off 🤭😳? Beautiful sounding engine !! It’s a beauty !
Breather gasket.........lol!
Lol Awsome.I like that you have the shifter on the Muncie already lol.You need to put A chair next to it and practice your shifting whooot.Sounds like A beast.I have been looking at the skip white heads and for the $ are they worth it over let’s say A vortec or A bow tie.Could you even put these up next to A AFR,Dart or Brodix.
I just completely rebuilt the Muncie 4 speed and Hurst super shifter. I wanted to make sure that the M20 & shifter was installed correctly and adjusted properly. A lot easier to do outside the car before the install. Thanks for watching
Its weird how im sitting in my c10 listening to my 350, but then i decide to look up this to hear another 350
I have an 84 caprice classic with a 350 I love it to death man! Wish I was around back in the day to witness all of the classic cars 💯

UnProfessionals LLC I’m gonna sub brother; I’m about to get bacc into my 84 c10. Currently have a 360 sbc in it.
I've never had any problems with my 388 and that's just a 060 over 383
Nice sounds smooth
I like it . .
Do your Thing . .
In my travels I have heard the .90 over spells trouble. I’ve known a few guys with .60 over sbc’s with no issues. Yours sounds like a champ! And I love your neighbors vette, 1978?
Thanks! Thats my 79 corvette , check it out on my channel
Sounds great
Thank you!
Good job beautiful
Thank you!
I have a similar engine. Mine has a bit of dome (about 10.25 to 1). The heads are brodix -11x std (biggest possible valves of course). Valvetrain is true roller, not hydraulic roller. I found the air gap setup to be a dog compared to an offy IR intake w/ twin 1150's. i'm currently rebuilding the motor. This time I'll be running the offy IR with twin 390s. estimated 511 hp. the heads on your engine and mine are likely similar, so odds are its the compression ratio, the induction system, and the true roller cam profile that makes the power difference. happiness is more than one horsepower per cubic inch, with no turbo, no nitrous, and no blower, on pump gas. I suspect you might get even more out of that motor with a bit more cam and induction. I've found that large runners and big valves require less duration, less lift, and less overlap for the same flow. So your typical "HIPO" cam leaves horsepower on the table.
Absolutely way to much carb for no reason you could run 1 even smaller and get same power
perfect is good
Perfect video
Thank you!
Very nice!! Also love the engine rig!!
Thanks!
Damn!!Damn!!Damn!!
Thanks!
Ronnie you did a nice job who gives a shit what other people have to say Do what you do best and forget about everybody else all the best from Edmonton stay safe
Thanks bro!
your neighbors must love you :P
;)
Lol wish I had a neighbor like that
@@budlight7312 same
Love to have it in a mino
I think that horsepower estimate is on the conservative side but I don't think is extremely far off I would say mid 400 then again that cam is fairly conservative but none the less it's at least 20 or 30 HP over that
Sure is nice man. Would love to do some work to my 97 350 vortec. It just runs too good right now for me to tear into it
Go for it!
Nice work 👏 👌
Thank you! Cheers!
Sounds damn good 😎🤟🏽🤯😲
Nice set up. How do you like the Skip White heads? I've got a set on a 383 that I've yet to hear run.
