    As someone whose worked with many young kids before I really feel like the worst napping age is 2 years old. Once they figure out that body autonomy they start to challenge that concept at that time with food, nap, getting dressed ect. Persistence during this little nap regression pays off though! Many three/Four year olds end up napping better than a classroom full of 2 year olds. SO strange and SOO frustrating but I'm so glad you kept staying consistent with it and get that much needed break!

    My two babies have got the same form of allergy/sensitivity to dairy, soy and egg. Once you learn new recipes for your baby and find the right snacks it will become easier!🙏🏻 Hoping the best for the allergy to go away and his gut to get stronger💙.

      Same here with my son. He just turned two on August 1st and has been able to enjoy some dairy but I still give him either goat milk or homemade almond milk as a milk drink substitute. He has done very well on the goats milk. ❤

    My 4 year old also has an FPIES allergy to egg that we had diagnosed around 1 year old. It is such a sad and scary reaction. It is an allergy that I had never heard of and there isn’t a lot of research on, so I’m glad you are able to bring some awareness to it!

    One of my favorite desserts of all time is a peach tarte tatin, it’s a French dessert super simple usually made with apples, but absolutely amazing with peaches! Serve warm with vanilla ice cream 😊❤

    Hi Beth! Can you share more about how do you implemented quiet time? I want to try it with my toddler but she keeps wanting to leave the room. Thank you for sharing!

      Yes!! So basically we just told her that she didn’t need to nap if her body wasn’t tired - but that it was time to go to her room for some rest. we still made it a little darker, sound machine etc but told her she could play in her room with a basket of toys or read books during that time. The first few days didn’t really work 😂 it definitely takes practice and I feel like we built up a tolerance for it over time! One thing that really helped at the beginning were putting a little speaker in her room with music or an audio book on so she had some screen-free entertainment while she played in there 👏🏻

      @BethGraceMoore  Рік тому +2

      PS I *never* had a quiet time with her that was longer than 1-1.5 hours. So it’s definitely not the same as a nice long nap time buuuuut it still is nice to have a little bit of rest time during the day!

      Reflux as a baby (excessive spit up, stomach pain, persistent crying, trouble with poop, etc.) and then after the intro of solids - vomiting within a couple hours after having CMP, rashes on his cheeks, constipation, red circles under eyes, crying, stomach pain and trouble sleeping after dairy!

    When I was a baby I had a cow milk/soy milk allergy as well, and it definitely stressed my mom out. But, now as an adult I have no issues with either at all! So there is hope that this will just be temporary for Jude too!

    My child also has FPIES, but to avocado. It can be so challenging because most people are only familiar with IgE allergies, and oftentimes the foods they react to can seem really random. She also reacted through my milk. At first we thought dairy but turns out that's not an issue for her at all. Glad you got some answers and validation!

    Hey Beth! We had a similar experience with allergies, but anaphylaxis for both soy and dairy. The amount of things we were having to avoid was nearly impossible and they would present at different times and cause her body so much anguish! We were completely led by God to find NAET through a chiropractor in our area. It healed her gut and all of her allergies in a matter of months! Truly amazing how God made the body to renew itself and heal. Had to share in case it might be an answer for you guys!

    • @BethGraceMoore
      @BethGraceMoore  Рік тому

      Anaphylaxis 😭😭😭 so scary - I can’t even imagine the journey you went on with that!! That’s wild. I’ve always wanted to try a chiro for him so maybe we’ll give it a shot!

      My sister did NAET with my niece, who was anaphylactic to treenuts and she can now eat them. My mom did NAET also and was able to reduce a lot of her allergies and calm her body down. She has several allergies but is anaphylactic to shellfish. She highly recommends finding someone who does it!

    So happy to hear your family got answers about Jude’s reactions! We’ve had a similar experience with our 5 month-old daughter. I’ve suspected she has a CMPI but we’ve not gotten solid answers from her GP yet. Currently she’s taking a medicine to treat suspected GERD! I’m curious what reactions you were noticing in Jude that made you think it could be an allergy. Hoping and praying for all the best for your family.

    • @BethGraceMoore
      @BethGraceMoore  Рік тому +1

      I’m sorry you’re going through that, it’s so tough!! I actually went over all the reactions in my explanation for this vid and then cut them out because I thought it wouldn’t be interesting to anyone haha 😂 but essentially he had really bad reflux as a baby (excessive spit up, stomach pain, persistent crying, trouble with poop, etc). I suspected maybe dairy but was hoping it would clear up with the intro of solids! Unfortunately when we introduced solids it just got worse whenever he had anything with cows milk protein - vomiting up solids within a couple hours, rashes on his cheeks, constipation, red circles under eyes, crying, stomach pain and trouble sleeping after dairy were the biggest giveaways!

    Have you ever used hot then cold water to take peach skins off? It's so much easier!

    • @BethGraceMoore

      Literally just air drying!! I have really taken a step back in heat styling and colouring my hair in the last few years - just letting it go natural as often as I can had brought so much curl back!

    What age did you start giving granola? Not sure if it will be too crunchy for my son, he's just turned 2.

    • @nicolelemos5056
      @nicolelemos5056 Рік тому

      My son just turned 2 been feeding him granola for a bit now, just make sure you break it up. You can also use a food processor if you’re nervous. I mix it with his yogurt or just share mine with him to make sure he’s not getting to much. Side note they will most likely spit it out if they can’t chew it, at least that’s what mine does lol
