I live in Al Quds & I'm actually making Makloubay as we speak...I fry everything and then place on paper towels..also I add fried shareya to my rice before assembling..plus I add fried tomatoes...my house right now smells AMAZING!!! Shukron, Chef Kat, Sa'tain! MashaAllah yr Grandson is so precious.
Everytime i watch mama Kat cooking, the only thing in my head is “ Ikasser rassak ya hamaar” 😂😂 i watched yusef’s videos when i first entered dentistry, now i almost finish and this cursing line is still very clear in my memory.. May Allah always gives u happiness Mama Kat 🌻🌻

The maklouba in Libya is so different, your right about the Veges being fried but then we put the veges at the bottom and then add the rice and then the broth and let it soak after that we flip ,. As for the chicken it’s baked in the oven after it’s cooked in the broth separate

About 12 years ago I ate this the first time at my in-laws home when they saw me for the first time.. We ate it many times after but as I hear you speak about eating it with your family it made me so sad.. cause I will never have the opportunity again after my father in-law passed away about 2 years ago now. We're sepperated long time ago but I still think about beeing with them all the little Kids who now have their own families and do the same we did.. Thank you for the Video. :')
