- These guys who hailed from Pleasanton, CA. If you want to take some illegal susbstance and fly to Venus, that is the band to listen to. "Meditation"/"Night Runner" (Bay Town 003) was issued in October, 1968. The A-Side is credited to D. Gibson, T. Fernandez, D. and J. Eaves. Band members?
Here in stereo ! Any info about the band will be much appreciated :)
The singer is bob Eaves my dad
that's awesome
Your Dad's pretty good man!
Do you have a band of your own we can hear?
Would love to interview him!
@@dakotabrown4536 he passed away in 1995
Oh man, this is a mind scorcher! I can imagine people dancing like crazy to this one.
The intro to this jam sounds like Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek . Actually it tends to have a "Doors" feel to it all the way through. I love it.
Yes, Jim Morrison would be able to sign this
Sing
This started off at a moderate tempo and reaches an insane level but this is what defines the 60’s. Very Cool 😎 Indeed!!!
An incredible supersonic bionic blast of tripped out garage fuzzing lysergic magic - the way this track comes charging at you on full fuzz speed is a total mind-blowing trip! Cheers for this Psycho60s! Best wishes from The Psychedelic Sikh and Swinging Fuzz London ;o)
Skinny-dipping in the depths of Eternity
You always have to love something with a star on it
I totally agree! It's like seeing a surfer
with jackboots, he knows.
Drummer is Ted Aliotta from Famed Aliotta, Haynes, and Jeremiah. He is alive and kicking and playing the Blues in Wisconsin.

Great info. Love the song Lake Shore Drive. The lyrics paint a vivid picture.
Back in the day I've tripped on LSD while cruising down LSD. I'm a lifelong Chicagoan. It's a beautiful drive along Lake Michigan. Something you'd want to do if ever in the Windy City. ☮️

This is so wonderful no really, its so good.
I really like this. Sounds a little like Country Joe. I really like this.
yes, CJ and the Fish would have loved this one....
This is fantastic.
Thank you. Greatings from Germany.
West Coast psych. Groovy garage band. Pleasanton is about an hour's drive SE of Frisco. These guys had that San Fran psych sound of the era.
I want to fly to Venus and Mars.
Absolutely Thomas. Groovy.! Rog. Psr.

GROOVY hippie garage tune. Rog, It sounds like a Hammond organ, I'm not sure, but that sound reminds me of Booker T & the MGs. Booker T Jones played a Hammond B3. It doesn't sound like Farfisa or Vox Continental. Love the organ, harpsichord, piano, dulcimer, marimba, xylophone. I dig those sounds. They enhance any psychedelic song.
Two monster, organ driven songs of the late 60s, that come to mind right now are "Light My Fire" - Doors "67. That organ intro is iconic.
and and "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" by Iron Butterfly "68. A 17 minute psych anthem.
"Green Onions" by Booker T & the M.G."s from the early 60s (1962) is a killer organ instrumental.
Rog, there are so many, many more. I'm sure you have your own favorite organ driven songs, too.
I remember you had mentioned before that you like keyboards and tickled the ivories a bit, but were no Beethoven. Cheers!
BTW, I'm no Mozart.
@@thomassmith8721 yeah quite possibly a Hammond as on time is tight. One groovy tune.cheers bro. Rog. Psr/ iow view .
@@thomassmith8721 . Mars ain't the kind of place to raise a kid according to sir Elton.
What's the song that mentions the words
What life is like on Jupiter and mars or is it Elton's song or someone else's?. Cheers. Sir Rog.
@@rogbrown1458 ahoy, matey!
Rog, the song may be "Fly Me to the Moon" a hit for Frank Sinatra 1964, but not an original.
The song starts with;
Fly fly me to the moon
Let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On-a Jupiter and Mars.
Paul McCartney and Wings mentioned Mars in song and so did David Bowie, but the lyrics you were curious about could only be from
"Fly Me to the Moon"
Rog, a perfect song for cruising Highway 1 is "Moonlight Drive" by The Doors. I know you can't forget Highway 101, Big Sur Rog.
The closer it gets to winter, the more California dreamin" I do. Cheers.
Nice one. I found this looking for the UK band with the same name.
This is a great song Just as wild as the genre
Highly Aciduous. Great creation. Hoffman's 25 possibly employed!
Thankyou for this gem
After a mediocre start this builds into a frantic bit of psych so stay with it !
Mediocre start? That's an epic start my friend
@@RamiElChamaa There is no mediocrity here . It's in depth psych
EPIC ? YES
The start is my favorite part 🤷🏿
Bob eaves,,. For president..2024..... This might save us humans..... Jam
sounds a little like Donovan when he sang The Trip.
Pleasanton was a real far-out groove, baby.
Powerful, dark, menacing, acid cut
foreboding yet engaging
mesmerizing,drawing you in
child's play, and
doing with you at will
tremendous
turning you to stone...
Excellent...
A bit similar to a song by Love,...” Revelation’” I think. 🎸🎼🎹🎸
good........................................
Wow!,,,
Shoot me at the sky.😎✌🏽☮️🎸
love the Spanish sound later in the track.....
