Probably result in a bunch of strong opinions. I see the SCAR S and it certainly has uses. Which do you prefer in gas guns? Piston or DI?
My two semi-autos are DI with non-tunable mid length gas blocks but I can adust with buffer weight, which I had to do when I changed my AR-10 from a telescoping carbine stock to a rifle stock and a Magpul PRS Gen III adjustable stock. I had to boost the buffer weight to 6.1 ounces because I was getting an overgassing problem.

Stoked to see you shoot the 300prc more. I just got my first one, though I haven’t chosen a scope yet. It’s in a foundation stock and I got the barreled action from Altus in Florida.

The 300prc is the king of long range. When you load the 250gr in it at 3.000fps, it will make a big difference on a 2 mile shot.
You’re not getting 3,000fps with a 250gr pill
It's not hard to do with a 32-inch. Custom barrel and the correct powder. A lot of people use the wrong powder. That's why they only get 2830fps with it.

No need to work your way up to an AR I would start with that, there is a reason they are one of the most popular guns in America, light recall, accurate easy to operate, endless upgrade options, start with a ar you won’t regret having one!
