It's not that strange. Firefox is excellent at displaying web pages accurately, quickly and amazingly securely. You know, all of those things a browser is supposed to do? I'm a lot more interested in how Edge v.s. Chrome stands when it comes to the privacy - and that includes what's installed together with the browser since Chrome comes with some silent add-ons to "improve your security" that I have discovered is fiddling with files it shouldn't. With computer performance today and how browsers works internally many of the performance tests aren't really that simple to run. More interesting would be how much CPU+GPU power it would take to load and work with certain pages. Then in addition to that many pages have behind the scenes trackers with different sets of Javascript loaded for each load so performance tests with anything else than a predefined page is going to be quite fuzzy.
Oddly, Microsoft are better on privacy than Google in the browser space. Even though they essentially use the same tech. It is a bit like comparing the devil to Beelzebub, though.
