I was a teacher many moons ago, and a student was having trouble with their laptop. I asked to see it, and the keyboard looked strange. It had a rubber mat (key protector) over it, but it looked... abstract? ...like there were little blobs/dots or a design all over it, but I couldn't quite comprehend what I was looking at. I asked the student what I was looking at, and he said he "hacked on it." Stupidly, being a Linux user, that made me feel confident to touch the keyboard, only to later have one of his classmates tell me that the student meant he had thrown up on his laptop, and hadn't bothered to clean it off, since the rubber protector prevented the barf from getting down into the keys. I typed on barf.
Most normies don't think of tech--until it breaks. As soon as someone like me fixes it, they resume not thinking about tech. I'm not bashing normies. My doctor may have no idea how his computer works when he's pulling up my medical history, but he earns way more than me. To productive people, computers and networks are merely tools.
"hack-tua" lol

I don't ask "normies" about tech - that's why I am paid lots of money to answer their questions about tech.
Sudo is very obviously some kind of Carribbean magic which grants you more control over your PC than the average user
Jif keeps the kitchen clean. Alternatives include Ajax and SOAP. On a good day, JSON will take care of that, and you can REST.
