Not sure I like hearing roger bleeps, I think it's a slippery slope, `beeps` propagate more than voice meaning other users that you can't hear that are on the same frequency may be hearing it without you knowing, so your beep is just causing QRM. What do you think ?
I don’t use a beep but i sort of understand why some do, it would stop people doubling and makes a punctuation mark for end of tx, I guess its the connection to cb?. Regarding generating qrm, i think not, the amount of over modulated gained up transmissions i here is frequent so I believe thats a problem.
Happy Christmas mate, hope you’re having a good one.. The bleep was on a CB to help the receiving station know when you’ve finished your over, but with ham radio we end with call signs so can’t see why anyone would feel the need for it. Pleased the better quality radios haven’t got one built in, the QRM would be a time warp back to the 80’s!!
Thanks mate, just here watching Xmas telly with Sophie for the rest of the evening then off to parents for bubble and squeak in the morning. Have a good one Darren
Oh no, the work of the devil! We don't want roger bleeps all over the ham bands. Can you imagine the mayhem it would cause in a pileup (think Megastream) with around 20-30 people all calling at once, followed by numerous bleeps......it would be total devastation!!!

Roger Beeps are not required, so no thanks and especially no roger beeps on 10M. Simple really.
