  • Today I and showing you 2 ways to do a natural harmonic glissando (slow and fast). The slow one works best with a light, flautando bow close to the bridge. The fast and loud one is also played sub poetically but the left hand does a fast up and down glissando to create this explosive effect.

I screamed in excitement at my computer when you demonstrated the quick gliss technique. And you show how to notate it! TYSM for this

    I love that sound.
I heard it for the first time in Valerian - Pearls on Mule by Alexandre Desplat.
    And in Strawinsky - Firebird.
Since then I've been wondering what the notation looks like.
And in which pieces of music does it appear?

Please tell me what string you are using at 01:50? And what notes are these? It's so fast I can't understand it. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I am playing on the G string but this technique is possible on all the strings. At the end of the video there is notation example of this technique (its the bottom one). Hope this helps.
