I just bought the season pass purely because I'm enjoying the game and want to support it! Love an actually great, ftp game! Love that I don't feel like I have to spend money, and that actually makes me want to spend from time to time.
im spending my gold on getting more missions, its 120 gold for 150 credits just like the store but on top of that u get some pass credits which i think in the long run will pay for the difference u lose for not buying the 400 gold for 500 credits pack
@@jarredwithers9628 like once u reach lvl 50 the few extra points you gain will pay for themselves but until then it feels worse paying for missions instead of getting the credits directly so yeah, slow and steady

I have just started playing this game, and it is great. I guess cosmetics and battle passes are the norm now, hearthstone, magic arena, gwent basically every collectible card game has one. Cosmetics are certainly not cheap, however as long as they do not affect gameplay and remain optional I do not think that will be an issue. Hope things go well for marvel snap, just had to go through two digital card games which eventually died financially : Elder Scrolls Legends and Mythgard.

Spending gold should make a player feel good. I think if they made the variants 250 and 500 gold that would be more reasonable, 700 and 1200 gold is too much. They should implement a 50-75% discount once a week on variants.
I'm in the USA. I play Marvel Snap on my mobile app and it has been a lot of fun. I'm a free to play player and every once in a while I pay for the season battle pass every now and then when I really want to get the cards from that pass at that time.
I've been refreshing missions, you'll get slightly less credits but more season pass XP, which the season caches should make up for in credits. They do plan on adding better monetization options though, so maybe even saving it until they add more stuff is a viable option. You'll probably be able to get more bang for your buck in whatever monetization they add

@@zeluqa The 8 weeks is a bit extreme if you ask me. Should be like 1-2 weeks max because it gets added to Pool 3 and from what I heard it's a pain in the ass to level Pool 3.

For a f2p consideration, it would be more useful if what is earnt by the season pass is split into free/paid for content. E.g. Two of the seven variants are free to everyone.

Agreed, been playing for 6 hrs and haven't even been able to make a unique deck yet. Definitely harder to collect the cards I need to make a good unique deck.
The items included in the Battle Pass aren't 'worth' anything. The developers added those currencies themselves, and set those prices themselves. They are entirely in control, and deliberately price these things to make it look like things like bundles and battle passes represent 'good value'. If you think the game is worth ten bucks a month to play, then great. Support the game, keep it going, keep having fun. More power to you. But it's disingenuous to suggest that there's any kind of 'value' or 'saving' involved in these virtual currencies. They're designed solely to dissociate - that's why you don't just pay in cash.
I played Hearthstone and other card games. The only f2p-friendly game I played is Legends of Runeterra. This game for me is in the middle, not f2p but you can have a great collection and be competitive but if you don't buy the battle pass you will not get that card that is usually broken. I think this is... fine, because then they can nerf it down the card and it is a reason to support the devs. In Yugioh games for example it was impossible to get a competitive deck just by being f2p so I know this game is more fair then other pay to win card games. But recently I don't think the same because they released the token shop and suddenly I'm playing vs She-Hulk (a pool 4 card) in pool 3 and other pool 4 cards. That seems unfair, and it starts to look pay to win for me. Everyone don't have access to the same rewards and the game starts to be unbalanced. Pool 1 & 2 was great but then I joined Pool 3 and it is a complete mess.
So I think it's too free to play, more than it should. I think I'll drop the game soon. It's boring to play the same deck over and over again, and face the same decks. This system of acquiring cards is terrible for those who dont have mutch time to play the game like me. I just wanted a deck in the style I like (control, in this case) but that's not possible either... very sad, the game had potential. But im enjoying your content while i still play it!
i believe they should let the game free to play and to have the option too wach a limited adds for credits(i say that because they dont really have produce money because the game is more free to play)

You get +10 season and +1 for each turn played xp for each lane won in a game so doesn't matter much

I'm still on "recruit season". Does the premium season pass unlock after level 20? I don't see the option
Once you complete all the recruit missions then the season pass will unlock

Yes, they are. You can collect free rewards even if you don't buy season pass.
