Are the glue pellets same material as regular hot glue sticks?
Yes
Nice upgrade from the other model with the integrated Lithium battery that only lasts 30 minutes, you can switch these out for other batteries, and not be down for a few hours waiting for the integrated cells to charge. Kind of a serious oversight to not allow the batteries to be charged in-situ though. Also, I think having to continuously feed tiny chips of glue sticks into the device while charging would drive me crazy.

Does it require cleaning after use?
Does it work with regular hot glue sticks, or does it only take the small pellets?
It takes 20 mm small pellets. You could try cutting any 7mm diameter sticks into smaller pieces to fit?
Those batteries were already charged...
Is it possible to use other batteries? Cause I love other lithium batteries that can be powered directly without a charger (called Namtek usbbatterijen.nl). I am bedridden and that is easier for me. And is it possible to cut some normal glue sticks and use them? Cause the special glue sticks are more expensive and being ill is expensive as well
