One of the few games I don’t to listen to outside music due to an amazing soundtrack. This song is a good example, and it’s really awesome to see how you perform it.
Hey Alistair, just wanted to say thank you for the video. You mentioned being self-taught a couple of times and I think it gives your music a really unique feel. Don't worry about doing things the "right way," your video was really good at explaining all the stuff I needed to know. Can't wait to hear what you came up with for Anomaly, thanks for all the good tunes :)
Oh my god, thank you so much for this! Alignment became my absolute favorite because of how this cozy acoustic sound gets joined by other instruments and effects, it's like the track is telling a story not unlike that of a lone survivor who builds a successful colony and eventually takes off to the stars with their new community in the end... Edit: oh my, with the harpsichord bit too! That part of the song in particular killed me, so it was awesome to learn what went into it. Thank you.
I've been respecfully trying to mimic the vibe of your work while I write custom music for Rim mods. As a fellow composer I just wanted to say your work was sublime for the game, you nailed the score. Everyone I talk to loves your work. Thanks for sharing! Much much love and respect.
Mate, stop forcing anything (we are all on board). When we have all listened to your sweet cords for 2,500 hours more than any AC/DC or Maroon6, I just sit back and listen to your chords and think of all the stories they have developed. Get used to the camera, don't be shy,, you have crazy amazing talent. Keep mashing that D major with the F sharp, thank you again, there is no other music that puts me in a better mood!

Alistar, your sound is instantly recognizable and absolutely beautiful. You’ve been the soundtrack to so many of my favorite games throughout the years. Cheers!
Thank you John and may I say that YOU guys and girls are ALL an inspiration to me, and one that inspires me to keep playing and keep making music. Thank you for your kind thoughts and words. :-)

I've always wanted to play an instrument but I could never get the motivation to do so, that is until I played Rimworld for the first time and fell in love with your music. I borrowed a guitar from a friend and hit the ground running, learning as many of your songs as I could, starting off with 'Moving on' with nice simple chords, and using that as a starting point to get onto other things. So far i'm learning 'Rough Trail,' 'Ceta,' and my favorite, 'Waiting for the sun' which i'm just starting to learn the strummy bits, I got the first and last part of the song down, so it's just the strumming and the solo i'm looking to mastering next. I know it's pretty obscure (both the game and the song), but that OST and specifically that song absolutely needs more love than anything else on the world. I was not at all expecting the raw emotion that could come through at the moment when the song kicks in on the boat. Even though I love video games and have been playing them since I was a kid, that was the first moment I kinda got the whole "I will treasure this gaming moment forever" for the sole reason of an emotion or vibe a game can produce rather than just "I'll always remember beating that hard boss, beating the game, getting an achievement, etc.". Quick question: Is the RCT3 song called Summer Air, or Summair Air? In the RCT3 files we see that the song title is "Summair Air", but the filename is "Summer Air", would you be able to solve this mini-mystery?
I have always called it Summer Air, but the developer could have changed the title for some reason maybe. Or it could have been a typo hehe!
heyo, hope youre doing well! not sure if youre still active here but i fell madly in love with your "a twisted path" from the anomaly DLC, is there any chance we could get a video for it? ive basically been listening to it 2 days non stop but (due to a severe lack of skill) cant figure out how to play any of it apart from the main riff.
Would you consider a video like this for Summer Air?
18:00 I'm imaging a butler popping up out of nowhere beside their queen...that kind of JOLT and then resolution maybe?
Thanks for music!
If you did one for Basileus it would be amazing. My favorite combat music, especially the epic riff after the slow "calm" part. Don't know anything about music but I felt like I could feel the guitar strings vibrating in front of me
Yes Pravdax, that is a great idea. Thank you, I will add it to the list and try to get on to it soon. :-)
@@AlistairLindsay thank you! Looking forward to it
Me trying to learn this on another instrument really makes me wish all music communication was done with sheet music.
