Will do Jay! I want to thank you and the guys at Sweetwater for setting up a fantastic horn! I am planning on buying the BetterSax Bari when it comes out too!
Good afternoon my main problem with these newer brands of saxophones is they have no adjustment screws on the right and left hand stacks. Having a mechanical background and coming from Yamahas l know their value.
I completely agree! That's what I love about my Yamaha YBS-52 Bari. On the BetterSax, there's adjustment screws almost everywhere else, but not on the right and left stacks
@@BrassKnot not sure if you're trying to clarify or be cheeky but I'm trying to help here in that the classic mouthpiece by better sax is intended to replicate a classic jazz era sound. It has a more open chamber than a classical mouthpiece that will typically have a square-shaped chamber. Does that make more sense?
I own a couple cheap Chinese saxophones, and this is not one of them. You should look at BetterSax's videos about this sax, it was uniquely built from the ground up.
Good afternoon one of the good properties of grease is that it is a very good sealant. It does not allow air to pass through it. So for not only the neck cork but also the neck tenon grease is good.
Hey, thanks for purchasing the BetterSax Classic and making this video. Fantastic job, and really glad you like the horn. Keep me posted.

Watching a unboxing video is like celebrating christmas by myself...🙏🎷📦
He did it!!! Funny Jay Metcalf lick on better saxophone!!!! Also Andante et Scherzo intro at 9:20 😰
You would be correct sir 😏
Looks solid...
Thanks for your impressions of this horn. Would you tell me what neck strap you're using? Thanks.
that sax truly is a bettersax
Vomit is OK as long as it does make sense)))) And thank you for review. Just sold my Jean Paul TS400 Silver looking for replacement.
Surprised to see the impact damage to the white box - that thing took a hit or two.
That's FedEx 😂😂
@@BrassKnot No. that inner box that actually contained the saxophone in its case had punctures. So much for dialing in the set up beforehand.
Is it a classical mouthpiece i.e. aimed at playing classical music or a classic mouthpiece?
Probably both. I basically just needed a good hard rubber mouthpiece and the BetterSax one fit my needs perfectly!
Nice, grats bro
4:07 William Logan BrassKnot debut confirmed??
😱😱😱
Will it play Coltrane by itself 🤔🎶🎵🎷
Sadly not 😂😂
Good morning. I watched the whole review and l observed it does not have a high F sharp key. Do they have that option available.
It actually does have a high F#! It kinda blends in with the body, so I understand why you didn't see it.

Thanks and that is a very important place to have them.
Don't replace the A in sax with an E 😲😲😲😲😲
😂😂
No gloves?
Sadly not 😂
My only complaint about this sax is the color. My B.S. alto plays fantastic, I just don’t like the color.
The color definitely isn't for everyone
Ah, the Bozza…lol
Yeah, I wish I could've uploaded the whole thing 💀
"Classic" does not mean classical. It means classic jazz....
"Classic" means "classic"

The fact is this is just a cheap Chinese $300 saxophone with maybe $10 more extra QA cost.

@BrassKnot it is built by Jinbao.
Don't cork grease your neck tenon. Please
Why's that?
I'm totally going to cork grease my tenon because of this comment
how do you counter stiffness in the fit then?
@@newscrews11 Exactly!
