I couldn't agree more! It is deeply satisfying to enjoy food that came from our own labor on our own land. The strength and knowledge to make that happen is a great blessing.
Indeed it is a great blessing that should never be taken for granted! ❤
Have a happy and prosperous 2024 and keep doing what you are doing
Thank you, Ronnie! I wish you an amazing year this year!
Funny you mention living that close to your grandmother. When I was growing up, we lived right up the road from my grandparents. They were big gardeners. I still remember in the summer seeing my grandpa walking up the road carrying a big watermelon. We'd go sit out on the picnic table and eat watermelon with him. And yes we put salt on the watermelon.
Good memories! It was so wonderful growing up next to grandparents! They spoiled the crap out of us 😂
Excellent! Can’t wait to see what the future holds for you guys as well! Happy 2024!
Thank you! Hope that you guys have an amazing 2024!
That Hazel Nut Pie looks delicious! Don't carry it outside in a hail storm! 😁🤣
Pie + hail storm = smash! 😂 It was amazing!
I have had my share of broken eggs in pockets. Glad I am not the only one at least.
Only question is, how many broken eggs did it take you to learn? 🤣
Hi there... I'm 52 and watching from South Africa, and recently found your channel and watched every video from the past 18 months... 😂
I want to compliment you on your "down to earth personality"... there's not a lot of them on social media anymore... you are a lovely and very caring woman... you love nature and animals and an incredible hard worker...
Thank you for inspiring me, and I love love love watching your channel...
Kaja always makes me laugh, and your hubby almost looks like a younger Jason Statham... 😂
Jenny, thank you for such wonderful and kind comments ❤ I agree, I think social media has deviated so far away from what it was that originally made it special - real people being real. I especially miss that about YT. It makes me so happy that you enjoy the channel 🤗 I had to look up Jason Statham (and you're right!) 😂 Again, thank you so much 💕
Your pie looked delicious 🎉
Happy New Year and I'm sure you will continue to grow, prep and cook so many more home- grown goodies.
All best wishes for you and Glen in 2024 ❤
Best wishes to you, Darren and Elaine! Can't want to see what 2024 has in store for you guys! 💕
Were you happy with how the pie turned out?
Yes! It actually came out very much like pecan pie but with a maple sweetness! A great way to use up some maple syrup!
