After watching a bunch of Manga collections on UA-cam that have the exact same series, this one felt like a breath of fresh air lol. I'm not even into shoujo but your collection is so colorful and beautiful. Now I wanna try out one of those series, for real.

I agree, I feel like I always see the same Boys over flowers, Vagabond, Red River + etc so seeing this was like a breath for me too. Ironically I also own all of those ( I began collecting 13 years ago so makes sense) however, nonetheless it's nice to see a collection like this with a lot of series that are overlooked and not often collected.

As a man manga collector, I’m not ashamed to have been expanding my shoujo manga collection, I now have 3 diff shoujo manga from the same mangaka, Arina Tanemura which I really think you would like and personally I liked alottttt. I think everyone can have shoujo! Awesome collection 😊

I am currently obsessed with Living Room Matsunaga-san! I have the first volume physically, but I'm picking them up digitally right now because I can't get enough. I do plan on continuing to collect the physical volumes as they come out though! I think it might end up being one of my fave series!

I would recommend checking out The Delinquent Housewife by Nemu Yoko (It's a short 4 Vol. josei with a similar feel to Secretly I'm Suffering and tons of laughs), The Gods Lie by Kaori Ozaki (a one-shot filled with tears), and Go For It, Nakamura! by Syundei (a one-shot filled with laughs and first-love nostalgia). Look forward to watching more of your videos!

I like your FMA area. I'm interested in reading Dreamin' Sun. I loved reading Orange. Eden's Zero is another series I'd like to start reading. Haikyuu is my favorite sports series. A Bride's Story has really nice editions. You have an awesome collection!

This is the first manga haul I've seen that has had Shortcake Cake! I actually started clapping when I saw it on your shelf I love that series so much! Wish it had a more active fanbase in the US

Honestly i loved the video, and saw some series i was Contemplating on getting, and ones i have already, i recently started collecting as i'm a new manga collector, and we have similar tastes in manga by the looks and this really helped me figure out better ways to collect and recommended good ones to read!😁

😍😍😍your collection is so pretty!! You have sooo many awesome series! Oh I really want to recommend Angel Sanctuary by Kaori Yuki it’s a super dark Shojo series, and one of my favourites. Also Ceres by Yuu Watase another darker Shojo series but also really great!

After watching this I’ve sped through requiem of the rose king. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Tragically beautiful. The perfect blend of a Shakespearean tragedy (based on Richard iii) and shojo manga

Been binging your videos and I love your channel! We have very similar taste in manga so I think anything you rec will be great. Kamisama Kiss gets SO good!! Nanami is such a badass. Didn't see these in your collection so apologizes if you've already read these but I think you'd really enjoy these titles: The Heiress and The Chauffeur (2 volume shojo), Pandora Hearts (25 vol) and Library Wars (15 volumes. Action and Shojo).

Also btw, you've gotta read Fushigi Yugi. Judging from your collection you will quite enjoy it. The Vizbigs are super gorgeous if you can get a hold of them. (Plus the singles were published during their terrible "toilet paper" phase lol)

First thing's first love your collection! I tend to also collect a lot of shojo manga and funnily enough I began with Dawn of the Arcana before getting into Bride of the Water God! I too really enjoy Rei Toma's series. Also I will be picking up Mugen Spiral asap ! I didn't know that Mizuho Kusanagi had another series released in english so now I have to have it lol. I've been on the fence about beginning to collect Dengeki Daisy however maybe I will pick it up at some point. I need to complete a few more sets first however once I'm ready I'll check it out.
If you end up enjoying Kamisama Hajimemashita I'd recommend picking up Karakuri Odette since it's by the same mangaka. I'd highly recommend continuing to collect Say I Love You. It's one of my personal favorites in my collection, I normally don't collect too many Kodansha series since they're more expensive however for me this series was worth it. On another note if your looking for recommendations I'd highly recommend Vampire Knight. I began collecting the series back in 5th grade as a kid and it's just as enjoyable now as it was back then. It's longer however it's truly a great series and is on my Favorites/Sentimental series shelf.
About Watsuki, I know it's a shame. Kenshin was the second manga series I began collecting back in 5th grade, that series literally helped to make me who I am so when I found out I was crushed.My entire childhood and through almost all of my teenage years I aspired to be as good of an artist as Watsuki ( I'm literally attending an art college majoring in Game Design lol). I say if you like the series buy them used.
Also be careful when putting volumes back, in the beginning of the video I thought that you were going to accidentally bend part of the cover when putting a few of your volumes back. Other than that great collection, keep up the great work and let me know what you think of the Kimi ni Todoke manga, I've been on the fence about that series too recently since I've been taking a break from collecting manga that takes place in a high school setting recently.

So I recently found your channel & I’m a new fan!! I saw a few other manga collection videos & yours is actually different which I appreciate because the things you like to read are similar to my tastes lol. I mostly collect video games & decided to start building a manga collection as well! It never crossed my mind to build one & my parents never bought them when I was younger so I used to go to the bookstore & just read them in a corner but now lol I’m 26 so why not right? I’m currently reading waiting for spring, ao haru ride, & princess jellyfish so do u have any other good recommendations?? Also watching your black bird review & u convinced me to pick up that box set on rightstuf when I get paid because it seems to be hitting the right boxes for me lol 😭😭
Hi! And Welcome! I would also try Love In Focus, Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts, and Sweetness and Lightning. Some newer ones would be Knight of the Ice, Not Your Idol, and A Man and his Cat.
I think that it’s safe to say that Shoujo is her #1 genre😂
I read volume 1 of Ms. Koizumi Loves Ramen Noodles and really enjoyed it.
This is the first time I saw the American Version of Jellyfish Princess and the volumes look gorgeous! Sadly they only published Tokyo Tarareba Girls in Germany, so I had to get the Italian Print of JP (Perks of being a polyglot :D) which is nicely printed.
I hope they will release Jun Mayuzukis current series Kowloon Generic Romance as I think the same about After the Rain as you!
Something I would have expected in your collection is Urusei Yatsura. Nonetheless it's a great library for Shojo-Fans
I read the first omnibus, and the humor didn't sit well for me.

I have the first 4 volumes of Kimi Ni Todoke and I love it but it will take a while to get all the volumes since my parents get me manga only once in a while. But I’m debating if I should start collecting Ouran High School Host Club instead for now since it will be easier for me to get.
Maybe put the box set on a Christmas list?

It's the volume of orange:future that was released. I think there may be more in that coming out. I don't know for sure though.

I have watched this three times now. Need to pick up After The Rain, Love In Focus and very interested in Deep Scar. Need to continue Daytime Shooting Star as that was my fav shojo I read last year. Why dont you get the Shonen Jump App for $2.00 to read that long sports one. Trying to help you save money. That one is like 30 plus ugh :O great collection!!!

loved your collection and I read diversely so if you want to branch out I recommend case closed and HunterXHunter both the anime and manga slaps.
HunterxHunter is one of my favorite anime. I'm slowly diversifying my collection.

I do not, and I am really not much of a horror reader personally. Sorry. As for someone who might have it, possibly Manga Hoarder? Laura and her sister share a collection and it is very extensive.

do you know witchcraft works? so far it has 13 volumes and the volume 14 is launching in 2 months the drawning is awsome and the story is nice and easy to follow, theres also ai yori aoshi(harem but the girl has already been choosen right in the beginning by the guy) that has 17 volumes is way more ecchi but romance is taking over when its time and the main guy knows when to be serious...also nice collection but i think overlord is way too pricey is it the norm at yen press to be that pricey? because in canada they are 17$ cnd O_o each volumes

I completely understand that! I tend to consume most of my Shounen via anime, rather than in manga form.
is the reason you are having trouble with Rurouni Kenshin because Nobuhiro watsuki had pictures of Underage Girls? i try not to think about it to much but the age of sexual consent in Japan is 13 and he was actually caught with pictures that were of 16 year old girls which would be Legal in most western countries. it's a weird one tbh and having daughters myself it does make me feel pretty sketchy about reading it but the Manga is sooooooooooooo goooood!!! and he is such a good artist and story writer. i know how you feel about it just chalking it up to different culture helps me sleep better at night after buying all the VizBigs i wont however be buying any of his new works when he gets around to it. i will protest against it with my wallet
Yeah, I did decide to no longer own it, and have sent it off to a used book store for someone else to read and enjoy. I didn't feel comfortable keeping it.
