Mesmers have the advantage of surviving off movement, blocks and i-frames. So while I cant really mitigate damage with my HP pool, I can evade most of it. Not an exhaustive list of what helps surviving, but: blink for movement, all the bladesongs grant aegis when used, F5 blocks, F4 is an , sword 2 blurr(evade), sword 4 blocks, sword 3 leaps, my 2nd utility which ive forgot the name of is a channeled block that lasts like 3 secs iirc, etc. So I can allow myself to be "full glass" and burst my enemy before Ive used all my survivability options. Also most of the strong attacks are 1200 range. Hope this helped a bit :)
Glad to hear it, its a fun build! Keep in mind there has been a couple patches since the video came out and some stuff changed for mesmer (some traits, weaponmastery from SotO, the behaviour of dagger 3, which is now a ground targeted skill, etc). But Jen kept the builds updated, so if you take the actual build from her site atm, you'll end up with something slightly different, but the idea is the same! Hope you'll enjoy it!

How do you not get completely fked by any attack given that you're basically glass cannon with some HP?
