    Love the video! I used to be an OTR trucker and I drove through SLC once, it was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. It was 70 degrees and there was snow on the mountains that you could see from the main highway. I'm a Texas boy so this was an experience lol.

      Thats awesome! Yeah it is a really incredible place. There are a few times a year when you can go skiing then go play frisbee or traditional golf, or even mountain bike in the same day. It is such a beautiful place, especially when the snow in on the mountains.

    thanks for the video Nic! Which mountain do you recommend going to for beginner skii/snowboard?

    • @SLCliving
      @SLCliving  2 роки тому +1

      Solitude Mountain Resort is a great place for beginners! there are plenty of beginner runs to choose from around the whole mountain so you don't have to be stuck doing the same few runs all day.

    Great video. My girls (4 and 6) will be in the snow for the first time this year. Which area would you recommend for kids that young to take their first skiing lessons?: Thanks!

      That’s so exciting! I was just teaching my 4yo nephew to ski this past week. I’d highly recommend Solitude Mountain Resort up big cottonwood canyon. They have great instructors, really easy bunny slopes, and it’s a great mountain for adults too.

      @@SLCliving Thanks. I need to buy snow clothing for ourselves and the girls. Someone told me about a place called Deseret Industries. Do they sell good stuff or mostly crap?. Any other places you can recommend for snow clothing for a Florida family lol?

      @@tatoweb the DI will have a few things to choose from. If you want higher quality items go to the Gear Room (3422 E Fort Union Blvd), Level Nine sports 2927 E 3300 S, or Lone Pine Gear Exchange 2835 E 3300 S. Those will all have great stuff at a good price.

      Either go to Soldier Hollow up in Midway to go tubing, or you can also do it at Woodward in Park City! both are fantastic, but if you're staying in Salt Lake City then the one up at Woodward will be much closer for you.

      Up in midway 🤔😄🤔 LOOK up so you can see the sky look north towards midway unless your already north of midway , they have no sense of direction.
