I'm really enjoying your high country series. You make great videos. The filming and commentaries are both excellent. We'd love to go to many of the spots you've showcased but can't go there because they are in the Alpine National Park so unfortunately we aren't allowed to go there with our dog, who we always take camping with us.

Great video buddy, lov the camping spots, when u do your big trips how do u go for shower/washing yourself? That’s not real bacon u use ,has to b streaky and crispy 😂 hey you do everything yourself (filming,wood,fire) get u mate to do something sometimes & u sit down, need your rest sometime buddy, don’t want to burn out

5:30 is the spot i always go to if im in Jamieson. Seems no one ever goes there so its always quiet, just caught your channel and you go everywhere i go haha. Last time i went it was covered in tall grass though so looks tidied up now.
Love the whole area in there mate, it's changed a bit over the years.

I freeze them at home, then store them in the bottom of the Engle on trips 👍

Been fishing that valley since the 1970's... kayaked down to Jamieson from Wrens Flat in 1978... getting way too busy around Jamieson these days ..

I'm intrigued by the pegging of the awning on the inside, not to the outside at 45 degrees to the axis's of the vehicle... what gives ?
Just a better option, plus no trip hazard
it makes perfect sense because it's the horizontal poles not the ropes that keep the awning firmly extended. The ropes are just there to stop it being lifted by the wind so they can be anchored in any direction.
I recall that idea being one of Batesy’s Gamechangers
@wasbruce that's exactly why mate, plus prevents trip hazards gently I have the swag along the front as well so it makes even more sense to do it that was 👍
