I will admit, thank God for the speaker, because if it wasn’t for him, parliament would not get anywhere shouting all over each other being disrespectful, thank God someone actually has their head on their shoulders properly and knows what they’re doing
In just a couple of years, Speaker Hoyle has come close to telling off the House almost as many times as Speaker Bercow did in close to 10 years. Sad to see they have gotten worse, not better.
Hoyle has been given his head by stammer. It's obvious that the two look after each other in all respects. His behaviour and outbursts exaggerate the padamonium of these classroom spats. To ban questions on some aspects is unforgivable yet it's obvious someone asked/told him to do so. About time he was gone.
One of the best speakers this country has ever had. He never put his pride in front of his decisions. Sir Lindsay Hoyle retains the respect of the public.
I don’t understand why the speaker of the house is a partisan politician in the US. I know it doesn’t always work out, but having the speaker be a non partisan is the reason I think it works well here.
Many years ago president George Bush speaking to Sir John Major admitted to the prime minister he would not have been able to prime minister's question time, It would frightened him to death to do that.
@@pjwhitlock4198 It hasn't been like that, but it all started under Speaker Newt Gingrich in the 90s. We now call it the Hastert Rule. It's an unofficial rule meant to kill bi-partisanship when Republicans run the House by preventing votes unless a majority of the majority party (Republicans) are behind it.
This is funny af i came from the Malaysia parliament vid where they shout "duduk duduk!!!" (sit down) cuz the mp are shouting at each other like toddlers and in uk is like "order order!!" The similarities 🤣
You don't bully or shout down people within parliament. You listen and and you respond without ego or prejudice. Sir Lindsay is excellent at separating the two.
Problem is, Bercow used to be a Tory MP, so he could admonish them with liberty, you’ll notice he was more lenient with Labour MP’s, Speakers of the House need to be very careful with appearing neutral, so they tend to be more lenient with whichever party they didn’t hail from
I think that you should think about it as Xavier Duval county is working together on this policy I think that you need to think before you give any feedback thanks
ever since he was deputy he has had this same temper it's a wonder how the british speaker is the angriest out of every parliamentary system in the world

The worst "Speaker" in my lifetime. An absolutely appalling individual. Just look at the disgraceful behaviour over the SNP/Gaza vote, this guy is unfit and corrupt to the hilt. He needs to be gotten rid of forthwith.
"You maybe Prime minister of this country but in this house I'M IN CHARGE!!"😄😄😄
Meanwhile at House of Representatives:
“Members are reminded to refrain from making remarks towards the personalities of the president.”
in your face, boris
Words of wisdom
You know he rehearsed that in his at home mirror 😂
I love watching how the Speaker educates members of Parliament!♥
It’s like watching a teacher discipline a rowdy class 😂😂
That's right.
That's why he's there.
@@liamwright2510 there's more to it, believe me..👃

I learned quite a lot from the Speaker to settle a classroom.
Me too

Nonce.
The Speaker has quite a temper but he has sometimes good season to be
can you blame him? Even primary school children behave better than this lot
He's actually really calm considering the job he's doing. It honestly looks harder to make the commons behave than a group of hyperactive 5 year olds.
Hoyle keeps offering misbehaving MP's the opportunity to get a cuppa!
Hoyle's so much better than Bercow, even if does have to work with the worst parliament in centuries.
probably because of the brexit referendum
Also isn't a massive bully
2:27 when it kicks off in the beer garden
I wish that here in the US we had a speaker in the House of Representatives that had the backbone of a John Bercow or Lindsay Hoyle.

@@pjwhitlock4198 It's not just the US. Here in Australia the House Speaker is partisan as well.
@@ianbolan3488 I think George Bush used the term "bear pit" to refer to the House of Commons, unless I misremember.

2:27 Where he (almost?) lost control
I think this would make a great comedy show to follow on from yes minister as yes mr speaker
At least he is fairly objective in allowing all parties to speak, unlike greg fergus in Canada
He sounds like a headmaster at school, lol!!!
Yes I agree with you
British politics are fkn amazing get stoned and watch this I'm a Romanian American but British politics is off the chain
If you think about it they've took from 2016 until now on crime organisations now you need time to undo it
What the Speaker of the house should do is remind every member that they work for the people and not act like children in the playground......
Sir Lyndsay is brilliant
These people are in charge of the the country bloody hell I know children that behave better
I’m surprised this guy’s voice still works after all the shouting he has to do - sounds awfully painful
What?!! Over four minutes of Hoyle with a backbone? I DON'T BELIEVE IT!!!

@@DrumsTheWord A shame you have no clue what bullying is.
John Bercow was much better.
John Bercow is an awful person.
No he wasn't.
@@ajs41 Yes he was. Deal with it and shut up
John Bercow was way better at controlling the Tory frothing. 😂
Frothing from a _sedentary position_
"OOOODDAAAAA There's no need to shout ahoy there from a sedentary position"
bercow was a traitor and should NEVER have sat in that chair

John Bercow was a patronising and bullying little man. I totally disagree.
I suggest Charles Dowding goes back to gardening. I miss Bercow.
Did the leader of the opposition just complain about uncontrolled immigration!
It’s like being savaged by a dead sheep
This will be a short video
I think that you should think about it as Xavier Duval county is working together on this policy I think that you need to think before you give any feedback thanks
He's a massive improvement on Bercow.
Brilliant..
Is this a series? I'm expecting the next one will be "All the times Lindsay Hoyle let Tory MPs off the hook".
He's never done that, he's a Labour MP and in this video he always had to order the tory party.
ever since he was deputy he has had this same temper
it's a wonder how the british speaker is the angriest out of every parliamentary system in the world
There's a lot to be angy about
Arrogant speaker, John Bercow was the best and smartest person in the chair…
Rubbish.
Are you serious??
Pointless job, no one listens to him!
Who is that secretary of state he is arguing with?
She is now the conservative party leader Kemi Bedanoch
Like being savaged by a hamster.
Peace, Peace, Peace
He’s similar to former speaker Michael Martin he can’t control mps
0:06 did he just say 'give me that sh*t'?
Seat
I can't take him seriously. Sounds like he's trying to be like Bercow. That guy was a natural at controlling a room
He turned out to be an appeasement artist... sad
He is like my old maths teacher who was quite strict
Would obviously been better with a Yorkshire accent, but you can't have everything.
Boo hoo!
I think Ian Blackford was right and the Speaker was wrong.
Problem is though, the sweaty sock was correct. BJ was proven to be a liar, a disgrace.
I loved Hoyle Card Games but THIS is incredible! 😃
Well seid
Looks like a kindergarten classroom😂
Mps behave like kids
It’s expected in the commons. It’s like tradition. Pmqs isn’t anything but theatre for the public
Harry Potter deja vu
He always sounds like he has a mouth full of pudding
Stammer said about facial recognition technology does that mean he will ban face coverings and veils so it will work on Muslims as well
Would have been good without the silly background music
🤕🆘Well, anyways I hope I improve and become a billion times better than this!
School headmaster lol
Wish we had a similar tradition in our Lok Sabha in India.
