Please make more of these. A few years ago, I read books 1-4 and stopped. I'm trying to get back into the series and this video helped a lot. You're a fantastic storyteller.
I'm about to read book 3 of Malazan and was looking around for refreshers on the first two since it's been awhile, and found this video. Such an awesome concept, I hope you keep making more of these!
just bought the book and wanted to learn more about it first ,i read that its hard to follow ... already super keen to start and THIS IS EPIC MAN... GREAT VIDEO subbed and amazed you only currently have 263 subs... cheers to the algorythem hey ...
GREAT GUIDE! I just started digging into Gardens of the moon and your video has helped me conceptualize so much. Please keep uploading I know it’s been a year but great work here. It’s helped bunches.
I’d have no chance to experience this with out all the passionate fans creating content! Thanks guys, I been spending so much time to make sure I’m getting the most out of the series and it feels really rewarding
A few corrections : the group known as Red Blades also carry Otataral swords, so not just the Adjunct, also Kalam gets his hand on Otatoral knife Ganoes named his sword "Chance" not Oponn. Not trying to ba an asshole just wanting to help, your video was great and funny, well done.
I don't think Shadowthrone and the Rope inhabit Meanas (although I'm certain they can travel there being ascendents), that's the PATH of Shadow, pretty sure they dwell in the HOLD of Shadow, Kurald Emurlahn, where the Hounds are guardians, who they're able to command. Love your video's presentation though, really doing something fresh and unique
I just finished it today and I'm not quite sure what I just read. I think I liked it though. Hopefully this video helps. Edit: Why did you stop making these videos? This was your biggest video you ever made. You should have done the whole series
@@TheDylls lol true, well actually it would depend on if you were being pushed or pulled haha. I would have the sister on my right side since I am mostly right hand. Having the lady's pull is the lucky thing if I remember correctly.
@Redmeddle1776 The lady's pull is absolutely correct. I find it interesting that I'm also right-handed but I put her on my left lol Just felt correct to me for some reason
The Imass were not one of the founding races, they were a new race before humans. Pretty much Neanderthals. Their Ritual marked eternal war against the Jaghut. Kellanved did not "bring them back from the dead", he simply used the power of their throne to command them. Some of the T'lan Imass clans were lost or caught up in ongoing wars.
Nobody can make Malazan interesting. It reads like a series of footnotes to a dream some guy had on mushrooms. None of the characters are the least bit compelling. The books seem to be constructed from a random table of interesting situations, where nobody is likeable, and nobody matters. A huge word salad.
@Redmeddle1776 I don't think I am. I've been reading high fantasy for nearly 35 years, and this is the most over rated novel I have ever picked up. Whiskeyjack, (like Brandybuck but less interesting) is one of many superficial characters operating in a world that has no atmosphere, apparently no weather, and is populated entirely with characters whose back story is so convoluted as to be meaningless. Every single character is a facade with a fake name, assumed identity, hidden past, possession problem, or some other pedantic device to make them seem interesting when there is no reason to like a single person in the book because they are incapable of being genuine in any way. Not to mention there is the Twin God of chance there to pull the carpet out from under any satisfying or logical resolution. And why is the Alchemist called thw Alchemist? Does he actually perform any alchemy in the book at all? He might as well be called the General, or the Banker...
@Redmeddle1776 and I was reading the book on a cross country road trip through the deep South. I had EVERY reason to want to like this book but it is just impossible to care about anybody in it or what happens to the world.
@@coryphillips7945 you are entitled to your opinion. I just feel bad that you can't like it. I have also read fantasy for most my life. Did you read all of them or just Gardens of the Moon? I will admit that that book is difficult to get through, but I like a lot of the characters and know they have growth and they all have different personalities and traits.
@Redmeddle1776 just Gardens of the Moon. I had no desire to read any of the other books after that. There is so much stuff out there that is more rewarding to me personally, like anything by Joe Abercrombie.
Might be the most underrated video on the interwebs
The best video on malazan on the internet!
Impatiently waiting for part 2
Seems like you have to show a lot of patients though 😢
Right 😢
I would also love part 2.
Shame you didn't continue with these; this is excellent!
I love this approach to discussing the Book of the Fallen. It's as big as HORSES!
The single best Malazan content on UA-cam.

Best Malazan lore video so far
Next video please, this was amazing! Amazing!
ye it’s been a year I’m guessing he gave up on this channel
Honestly this is the first time I actually understand anything about this book, They should make this a prerequisite to Gardens of the Moon
The "problem" is that the actual prerequisite to Gardens of the Moon is somehow finishing it and then the rest of the series 🤣
It’s definitely mine lol
This is amazing! Would love to see many, many more!
More. I crave more!
Please.
just bought the book and wanted to learn more about it first ,i read that its hard to follow ... already super keen to start and THIS IS EPIC MAN... GREAT VIDEO subbed and amazed you only currently have 263 subs... cheers to the algorythem hey ...
Just finished Gardens of the Moon. Please keep this up!!! Subscribed.
As someone who's read the core 10 books twice, I hate to say that it's one of those "gets really good in book 7" kinda series, but... Lol
You gotta continue this! Loved every moment
I really hope you plan to add more the this series. I love it.
Brilliant, hilarious, accurate and helpful! Cheers
Hopefully you'll find the time to do another part. This was AWESOME!!

GREAT GUIDE! I just started digging into Gardens of the moon and your video has helped me conceptualize so much. Please keep uploading I know it’s been a year but great work here. It’s helped bunches.

I'm audibly laughing through this. Thank you so much, excellent

Can't believe you're such an small channel! This looks seriously well produced and your other videos seem really professional too

That was great! I eagerly await the next episode.

Oh dang! I hadn't thought of this, but I'm pretty sure you're correct! (Filthy usurpers of an ancient Hold lol)
This is a fantastic video but there is one pretty big spoiler -- the race of the god on whose body sits frozen on the ice throne
Shivers first 30 seconds
Great vid!!!
I just finished it today and I'm not quite sure what I just read. I think I liked it though. Hopefully this video helps.
Edit: Why did you stop making these videos? This was your biggest video you ever made. You should have done the whole series
Ooooooh thats what THAT is?! Nice.
Bit spoilery images. Namely Hood. Otherwise, I love this video.
I wish he could have finished this for allllll ten books
That was amazing. Thanks!
OMG,where is part two?!!
Where is pt 2
God bless you, keep em coming
I vote you use AI tools today to do the entire series. This is great!
100th sub! hell yeah
So good!
Fantastic
My man needs to stop having a life and be my fav UA-camr
Bene gesserit isn’t weird it’s Latin and actually is more a motto than a name.
Who is the female narrator?
I’ve got the audiobook, but it’s a different narrator that makes me feel sleepy
Literally laughing the whole vid 😂
Amazing
"As big as Horses!"
Great
Anomander Rake UUGHH! 😂😂😂
I have a different side of Oponn's Coin tattooed on each of my wrists!
(Trust me... I'm aware lol)
That's a cool tattoo idea, I would love to see it. I am a big fan of Oponn. P.S. you're aware of what exactly?
@Redmeddle1776 It's not exactly considered wise to carry Oponn's coin lol
@@TheDylls lol true, well actually it would depend on if you were being pushed or pulled haha. I would have the sister on my right side since I am mostly right hand. Having the lady's pull is the lucky thing if I remember correctly.
