Part of the Foundations for Energy Data Analytics Series. Some videos in the series introduce data science concepts and techniques that are applicable to energy challenges. Others (like this one!) are designed to provide background on energy systems and policy, elucidating contexts that are rich with opportunities for data scientists. ( • Foundations for Energy... )

Great Presentation showing all relevant fundamental concepts. Excellent Video!!! Thank you very much
Great presentation, very clear concepts... very much appreciated
Very informative video. Thanks a lot.
Parabéns. Ótima apresentação.
Very clear - thanks professor!
Great presentation. I enjoyed this explanation. It did a good job with different electric utility concepts. Didn't really get into the weed on deregulation as much as I'd like, but how generations is viewed as a market, I don't understand. PPAs don't want curtailment but that has to come from somewhere. The deregulation is why Texas just had issues. Vertically integrated utilities used to have to make sure that stuff on generation issues not occur. '92 changed that and system reliability has gotten worse. I suppose we can say it has to get worse before it can get better, if you beleive that. 96 distrubance, Enron, .....
I watched because it said Energy Data Analytics. Little disappointed that was no where in the presentation. Eu queria ouvir mais do rede no Brasil. Parece que os EU usam energia bem diferente que o pessoal aqui. Seu perspectivo seria interesante.
What is the significance of the three interconnections? It seems like there's a hierarchical system to how the grid operates. Is there a good video explaining this?
Are these slides available online?
hey, can u please confirms ones ..which role & reasonability in your project
Electricity market ia my Bae. The most volatile and most predictable market to trade.
