The only British bands that came close to that were The Police and The Jam. I know that nostalgia isn't what it used to be .... but those really were the days.

I listened to them in a radio interview a couple of weeks ago and she was pretty much the same kind of answering questions in a vague manner and sounding tired. Oh well, it re-sparked my thirst for Blondie songs.
