These old photos are great. We will never go back to those times. But at least those of us who were lucky enough to grow up in the fifties and sixties still have the memories of the best of British times ( although we didn't appreciate what we had. )
It's a bit of a balance IMO. Tories are ripping the arse out of everything, and living is hard right now. On the other hand, there's been hard-won progress made for many minorities since the 50s, so there's good and bad in both eras.
Excellent selection of pictures. As an exiled Glaswegian (and former tram driver) I especially loved the many tram and trolleybus pictures, in all the videos in the series but all good! From flying Scotsman (now grounded) far from home.
Sad to say you are right. Good luck with your series of videos. I have just located some more in the series, and I look forward to even more of your great pictures!. Best wishes from flying Auchenshuggle @@colinburrowes8063
Thanks for the effort you put into posting these brilliant photos, even though I come from Derry city N Ireland I had some great pals from Glasgow and often visited in the late 60s early 70s …I spent one Hogmanay in Glasgow which took me about 4 days to recover from but salt of the earth people very similar to the people in Derry and generous to a tee..
Wow I liked the shots of that joined up transport system hoped that would be great just now. The city fathers really new what they were doing then unlike now.
Hi, Colin. I’m really enjoying this one. Is it possible to obtain copies of these photographs, in particular St.Enoch station at 4 mins. secs ? Thanks.
These picture's should remind people, This why Scotland must be Free of " London Rule " Scotland will be part of the EU, Torrie's Got what they wanted " Chaos" Now they make us all pay to make us poor., again again. Ps pic's are great
@@albertbryant3551Tried what? We've not been independent in hundreds of years, and the Tories are absolutely destroying everything at the moment, so this would be the perfect time.
@@nebularain3338 did we not have a vote on independence a few years ago and yes campaign lost did we not have a vote on the eu and leave campaign won that's what I meant by tried that
Very evocative .......music was good with a kind of obscure feel to it matching the pics.
Thanks Alex.

Thank you, the old days were better, as you say, we just didn't realise it.
The old days were better because there wasn't so many of us then. If we had less now it would be pretty good too!

Thank you for kind comment, it's good to look back to where we came from.
It's great to look back, in fact it's very important, especially as I sometimes wonder where we are heading! Best wishes @@colinburrowes8063

Someone threw a “Petrol Bomb “ in to a Pub in Glasgow on the 60s legend has it was drank before it hit the Pub Floor 😅
It was of its time.
They are still at it that loon council.
