    If you are interested in joining GP Picks+, you can select the plan that makes the most sense for you here: www.goldenpants.com/gp-picks
    Thanks everyone for watching!

      I only have access to one SB where I live and only bet on the NFL. Which do you recommend? Also, how about offering a 6-month plan for us NFL betters. Thanks.

      @@jimh3595 If you only have access to one sportsbook I am not sure if Picks+ will be value for you. Assuming maybe you are in Florida? If so - I know a user who lives in Florida and does well, he also uses PrizePicks arena and UD I think.

    hey - just wanted to say a video of yours from awhile back really helped me stop drinking. been about 5 months clean and my sports betting volume has skyrocketed, and am shocked at how much alcohol was interfering with my life. thanks for the inspiration gp

      Wow....first of all congrats. I know how hard that first 6 months can be, and it's awesome that you are already seeing some great results. Thank you for posting this - it made my day. DMs are always open for drinking related Qs on discord.

    I do Mostly Straights and 2 Pick ML / Alt line Parlays. I also throw a very small percentage on some 4 to 5 Picks. As long as I do good on straights and 2 Picks it doesn't matter about the 4 or 5 pick parlays I will still profit. Those are just bonuses when I do hit em

    I am impressed with your knowledge but I truly believe that your best option is straight bets

    Agree with the implied probablity conversation at the beginning. When I stopped taking bets I *liked* because they were at odds I *didn't* like, there was a mindset shift that has saved me a large portion of my bankroll. I vividly remember the Draymond situation - and I still believe that was the catalyst for books to start a massive wave of banning that has us where we are today.

    • @TheRiskTakersPodcast
      @TheRiskTakersPodcast  3 місяці тому +1

      Yeah exactly - just how chips help disassociate money gambled from real money, odds stop us from naturally thinking in probability when it comes to sports betting. Draymond situation definitely made the sportsbooks aware of how vulnerable they made themselves w/ the SGP product. I almost feel like they either accept the tradeoff b/c of how much money they make off the product - or just have an unwritten strategy of voiding anything that seriously threatens them (Pebble Beach for DK I think)

    Appreciate the look! You had mentioned parlays awhile back, and ive definitely changed my strategy to basically go all parlays as I started to get limited on some of my books. It also feels like my edges are going further, even past the line not changing initially. (I will say, im still working on getting my variance up though mentally - they are 2 and 3 line parlays, sometimes with heavy chalk on more square bets so they are only +200ish)

    • @TheRiskTakersPodcast
      @TheRiskTakersPodcast  3 місяці тому +1

      Awesome Jimi - love to hear it!
      I think there is WAY more value in limited accounts than we initially think when the bring the hammer down on us. Nice to see you are squeezing that value out of them even after they tried to get rid of you.

    • @JimiOfSpades
      @JimiOfSpades 3 місяці тому +1

      @@TheRiskTakersPodcastoh to be clear- I stopped betting the limited accounts and moved on to try and use parlays to limit my limiting elsewhere- but I hadn't considered what you said here about realllllly layering parlays on a limited book- will start trying! I kind of considered the hourly not even worth the time

    Great video! I noticed a few areas where there might be room for improvement. For example, Proper Video Optimization. I believe addressing these points could make the video even more engaging and effective.

    also random question - when people in your normal life that you meet ask what you do for a living, what do you tell them? I get such negative reactions or people think i'm a liar lol. Just curious to hear what you tell people haha love your videos by the way man keep it up

    • @TheRiskTakersPodcast
      @TheRiskTakersPodcast  3 місяці тому +3

      I just say I am a professional sports bettor. People's reactions used to bother me when I was younger playing poker - but now I don't care. I have a great group of friends, wife, and hobbies I don't get enough time for. I am not necessarily looking to impress new people anymore. Funny thing is - after I stopped giving a fuck and was like "yeah i gamble on sports for a living, I hope Scottie doesn't choke or else my cat isn't eating lol..." people tend to react more positively.
      It's a thorny subject though b/c I do get a lot of DMs from younger people who are considering doing this full time. And they say their parents aren't supportive etc...In that situation I do think it's out of love - b/c the priors on gambling are really bad. So it's kinda up to us to stack such a big pile of evidence that the people that love us see we are doing okay and won't end up in a gutter. So I think it's important to separate out the people who are only concerned because they care about you - those people can come around once they see all is fine.

    I bet unders on my parlays. I've been betting for 3 weeks, and honestly, I like it better. The unders make more sense and the ones I've missed on the errors are 1 or 2 and absolutely fixable. Just increase the research.

    No. Parleys are the quickest way to destroy your bankroll. Do your homework, isolate the strongest play(s) each week and bet the same amount on each game. The only path to long-term success.
