I'm with you on magnetic torches, I hate them too. I mean it's a headlamp, it's usually mounted on your head.... why would it need to be mounted on anything else? It's so annoying having to make sure my magnetic torches don't interfere with my wristwatch (I wear a mechanical automatic) when I EDC them or with my credit cards etc.
Obviously the use of the shorter tube is for daily edc like use especially with pocket clip attached and is used in pocket......It is a great budget right angle light as is. It is just not foe you. Magnet is very handy when I am using it as a handheld light while working on vehicles. To each their own.
I purchased a pack of 12 torches from wish a few years ago for £7.99 ..... aluminium , adjustable beam ..... not sure of the lumens, but bloody bright. Sold the other 11 for £4.50 each ! ...... I've dropped it from 13 floors up. Its been under water runs on 3 x AAA its still going strong . Its a Nozatec ultra fire flippin bargain. Mind you with the import taxes today they are probably a small mortgage.
I get through a lot of torches, usually from people "borrowing" them. I usually prefer a red light as it wont effect your night vision ...but its dangerous for maps because contour lines don't show up at all with red light
Cheers for the review ,good tip on the magnet too 👍
bloody hell Bruce , you need a tinfoil hat for your fear of magnets
lol

Yup, just a pointless gimmick,
The one that really bugs me is the olight magnetic charger, how they can call it an outdoor torch is crazy.

Good point, magnets are just a gimmick
I love and use the magnet alot, no gimmick, just not for you, and yes,I use them under the hood.

Yeah deffo, magnets and outdoors dont mix well
Sofrin sp40 vs skillhunt h04 at over twice the price. Does sp40 have strong magnet?
Yes, its a neodymium one, im not a fan of magnets at all in outdoor gear.

So, with a longer USB cable and a power bank connected the light will last a very long time.
yeah Definitely, as long as the water doesn't get in it will be on for weeks
