This is a very good session explaining bipolar. One thing you didn't mention about suicide is hanging there are so many things you can use, it's often the most likely way the person will complete it. Also I think the patient should start off gradually on the meds. Obviously if in crisis mode you may have to put them on something stronger but if still manageable less is more, it's the highs that make it difficult to want to maintain the medication.
