according to NCERT, those aren't 2/4/8 - 'celled' stages, but 2/4/8 - 'nucleate' stages. It says those are STRICTLY FREE NUCLEAR MITOTIC DIVISIONS, meaning karyokinesis(nucleus division) is NOT followed by cytokinesis(cytoplasm division). Apart from this, the video was definitely helpful for me.
