Say hello to your little friend, lol. He wanted to go on your test drive. My youngest son had a 93 Corsica for his first car. Same exact color interior, with matching exterior color, lol.
I've never had a Corsica, but watching this did give me those flashbacks to my 1992 Nissan Stanza. There was something so satisfyingly simple and comforting about those early '90s cars.
My Aunt had a 1989 Chevrolet Corsica LTZ. Dark blue. I used to love that car and the sound of the engine. The exhaust sounded crazy good stock. Had a growl to it almost. Sound system was amazing as well with nice bass. All Factory. Too bad my little cousin totaled it back in 95. Wish I could find one thats been kept up like this one.
Drove a ‘94 Corsica as my first car and when I say drove I mean *drove.* 😂 How I kept it in one piece and never wrecked, who knows. I punished that car mercilessly. Hit a speed bump going way too fast and cracked the oil pan while also knocking loose all but one and a half of the engine mounts. Had to pet it after that, but you know what? Sold that battle tank still running at 225k miles. They maybe weren’t safe, but I miss it like hell, and now they’re a really rare car to see anywhere. But once in a while I still spot one lumbering along here in 2020!!
I miss my 1994 corsica every damn day! same color too... but after i put 100k on it with 64k from the dealer and a new transmission....it just became harder and harder to keep up with the repairs....Loved this car for 10 years!
I had an '99 Tempest (Corsica) for my first car. Bought it off of a Bulgarian guy for $200. Lasted me two Canadian winters before I sold it off again. I loved that little car. Spray painted racing numbers and "turbo" on the side and painted a big angry face on the hood. Lots of fun!!
I use to have one of these! Same color! It was a 1989 with the 2.8 Multi-port FI in it. I got it with 21,000 miles on it from my aunt in New Jersey. It ran so good and comfortable. I had it all decked out with a pearl white paint job with silver marble, a leather hood cover, oh man. Nothing wrong with it, until I got into an accident! I really miss that car.
I love my 1996 Corsica. I actually have owned 2 in my life. A bright red 96 with the 3.1 and a darker red 96 with the 4 cylinder. Both cars are amazing. NewYorkCityBoy doesn't know what hes saying. Corsicas are amazing cars. I would do ANYTHING to get my hands on the 3rd generation 3.1L V6 Corsica again ("3100 SFI" which was 1994 and up for the Corsica). Nice video man :]
LAFOLLETTER Difference the Accord is still around, unfortunately the Corsica/Beretta are not. In fact the Beretta name for a car probably will never be resurrected since anyone naming one would have to contend with licensing issues with the gun maker.
LAFOLLETTER Difference the Accord is still around, unfortunately the Corsica/Beretta are not. In fact the Beretta name for a car probably will never be resurrected since anyone naming one would have to contend with licensing issues with the gun maker.
LAFOLLETTER It was until 94 and 95 when Chevy started focusing more on the Cavalier and Camaro, and could really care less about the Corsica and Beretta
They stopped producing Corsicas due to new vehicle safety standards that had to be incorporated into cars starting in 1997. The Corsica did not meet them, and the entire car would've had to be redesigned. It was too expensive for Chevy, so they mothballed the Corsicas and Berettas and instead focused on the Chevy Lumina.
I have a '92 Corsica LT. It looks a lot like this one but it's not red on the inside. It's a great car, gets good mileage. I put a new cd radio in it, seat covers, and my memory tassel in it. It's had its problems, but it sat for years before we fixed it up. It's running great now. It needs a bath real bad though.
I had a '92 3.1L Corsica like this. Ran well for a while, but then it started stalling in traffic often. I found out years later that the models with the 3.1L V6 engines were known for this problem. Supposedly the cause is faulty fuel injectors and bad fuel pressure regulator.
Yup, and by 2000, the then-new Buick LeSabre and recent Chevy Corvette were the last ones left that had red interiors. The LeSabre's red disappeared after 2000, and the Corvette was the only GM car where you could get red inside. Very disappointing that GM cheapened out on interior colors in the 2000s, despite the great cars they had at the time.
Avis used to give me a Corsica as a business rental. Despite being a bit of an automotive snob at the time, I enjoyed driving them. A few years ago, the shop that services our cars had one as a loaner. It was a hoot to revisit the Corsica!
I remember well when I used to business-travel in the 80s/90s getting a Lumina or Corsica or Euro (or a Tempo or Taurus if it was a Ford) with a red vinyl interior and wondering if it just to identify it as a rental car. Thanks for this, brings back all sorts of memories from behind the wheel trying to find my way to the airport a zillion times.
I had exact same car worst car ever. I remember going to the junk yard to get parts for it , no problem because alot of the them were there. a lemon. I got tired of it lucky I got $700 for it in 2002, i bought a honda civic best car I ever had.
*shudders* you're really brave kyle. If i found a wasp nest in a car door or any other part, I'd run like the wind. those little buggers scare the hell outta me. Awesome car btw.
My cousin has a 1991 in gray, he got it recently, and it's in great shape dor it's age, and now it has me nostalgic enough I want one more than ever before. I hope to get one someday in a few years, even better and more reliable that's what's on the road today.
I have a 1996 Chevy Corsica and everything is hanging out and broken off the dash in the interior and has no dash cover so all wires are hanging out but everything still works except for the dash lights. Those don't work. Also they are very torquey cars. I love flooring it. Also my alignment is just extremely horrible on it.
@Gubru 96 was the last year for the Corsica, so that means that the Tempest would likely to be based off of the Malibu (Corsica replacement) at that point.
@eldeivid Tons over in my neck of the woods. The 80-90s Japanese cars tend to have the ol` rear wheel well rust problem. Just depends on where you are at I guess.
My mom use to have an 89 back in the 90s with the dark red exterior, chrome door handles and trim, had a factory front hood ornament, and the interior was red but was the older Japanese like design with the boomerang steering wheel and floor shifter. Seeing Corsicas now on the road bring back a lot of 90s nostalgia, but I've never seen one that looked like my mom's ever since.
MY friend carrie o Herron her dad Terry had a white Chevy corsica until the air conditioning gave out and it had no ac he always had to roll down the windows
After watching a good chunk of your videos I think this one had my best rofl moment at 0:53 - 1:02 first off it looked like fallout 3 when you were caring that hose nozzle and then you seemed ridiculously disappointed in forgetting to turn the water on lol
My father bought one brand new In 94. the 4 cylinder models were on sale for $8k. He went to the dealership to get one and they were sold out. They only had one 6 cylinder model left which was $16k. It was twice as much but he didn't have a car and needed one. He bought it and it broke down the day he bought it. It had a bad engine in it. While they rebuilt the engine they gave him a Ford Taurus as a rental car and he loved it. I remember growing up the Corsica always having problems, always overheating, heat didn't work. always in the shop and mechanics could never figure out what was wrong with it. I remember other ones had the red interior which I hated at the time and was glad his was grey. Now I like the red interior. lol, He traded it in on a new 2005 Toyota Corolla in 2005. The dealer didn't give him anything for the car in fact they charged him $500 to take it off his hands. He paid $15k for the Corolla. $15.5k with the trade.
@gli7utubeo the interior colors in car's today seems mellowed out...nowadays the most common interior colors seem to be black and various shades of Grey and white.

whenever anyone uses the term rental car is immediately think of a Chevrolet Corsica. Even though they haven't made the Corsica since 96 LOL. I really don't know, I already sold it back to my dad for $700 since basically it was a money pit and I had put over 1,000 dollars into it so it's whatever. I got tired of it.
What? Did I make this video? I had a '96 when I was 16 with the same interior color, listed to the same music, and also kinda sounds like me. Weird lol
hey i just got 1 of these cars not long ago and its my 1st car 2 im havin probs tryin 2 find the high beams... im thinkin its the 2nd setting on the light switch... is tht where it is??

Not really, but it did overheat one time, that was scary.

I'm contemplating on selling it for a project car cause it's messed up more than I thought it was going to be.
