@sweettt321 That's probably want Sae wants. He wants Rin to aim higher, not be satisfied in staying below him. Sae knows how rough football is outside of Japan. It's on another level and Rin was alright with being the best in Japan and that's it.

To be fair to both, on Sae's side, I'd be similarly annoyed by Rin's outburst at a slight change of motivation. Like dude, Sae can be the best midfielder in the world, and Rin can be the best striker. Sae can still be the best player, and Rin second-best. The resistance to such a minor pivot is crazy. On Rin's side, Sae saying he has no value and basically disowning him, that's such overkill.

Hot take but Sae was just flat out wrong for this and he's plain corny; the guy went overseas, realised he's washed and decided to come back to Japan and take his anger out on his little brother. Well at least Rin has some of the coolest goals in Blue Lock now so I guess it's alright
Pretty much. I think people like Sae so much they kinda forgive him for being blatantly wrong.
Ngl I know Sae comes off as harsh but Rin sounds much more unreasonable. Imagine being mad at your brother because he changed his goals in a way you don’t agree with. They could literally be a top duo in the world as brothers but Rin couldn’t accept that.
