Interestingly I took a conductor training course at Johnson county Community College in overland Park Kansas The program is called NARS which stands for National Academy of Railroad sciences and one of the things I got to do on my last in person week was throw a switch and work with real railroad equipment motive power was ex Burlington Northern SW1500 number 3443 I would never know when I would see an SW1500 again it was a great experience I will never forget
It’s owned by Csx I think it’s the ex chessie/B&O line but cvrs owns most of it Csx owns the parts there in and parts near the 2 scrap yards on valley belt rd
Great video I got to take a ride on this over a few years ago and I absolutely loved it I would definitely do it again
Thanks for the compliments & for watching!

Do they still lease those ex CSX units?
Nope. They’re leased on occasion from a local leasing company.
@@mylesspear thx daddy

And they bring 765 on that line
Sounds like some sort of hybrid K5HL mixed with a K5LA. Really cool sounding horn.
Indeed
Reminds me almost exactly of the Alcos I work with on the Adirondack, including the new one from Minnesota Commercial Railroad.
great video, I really hate cold weather coming. I like getting 1 train a day. JUST SUBBED YOU
Thanks I appreciate it
Did they do this so they could turn the locomotives around to face the opposite direction?
They did this maneuver to turn the PRR Passenger Car around
Awesome
Yeah it was!
Also sounds like a K5LA?
Yeah that's what it is supposedly. Some hybrid K5LA
Do these still have their original prime movers?
I'm not sure if they have their original prime movers.
cool
Thanks!
