Lesson learned the hard way: Any time you crank an engine with the spark plug removed, give that spark someplace to go. The easiest thing to do is pop the plug back into the end of the ignition lead, and wedge the plug up into the chassis. If you don't do this, the ignition will still make sparks, but they will be forced to arc through the dielectric insulation in your coil, leaving pinhole burns, and another possible path to ground. Your engine becomes hard to start, but idles OK, and then stumbles and misses when the throttle is opened wide. The only cure is a new coil.
Start the engine on 3 cylinders and the fourth is an air pump. Fill that tire in no time at 6k!! lol I know from plenty of experiences, that cb350 will run on one cylinder no problem.

First off excellent video just watched before I finish my coffee and go for my morning walk. For some reason this video makes me feel old, considering I'm coming up on 43 years of riding motorcycles, I think of all the flat tires I had and mended over years, every motorcycle I have own has had a least one or more flats on it. I don't consider it tire repair most if not all kits are just to get you on the road. I'm old enough to remember when the shops repaired tires and not automatically just sell you a new one I learned how to do inside patches and plug in Motorcycle Mechanics School, my old 1983 Kawasaki GPZ 550 repair manual even had a section in it on how do it. I have tried just about all the repair kits on the road, the ones with the rope type plug, glue, and the T-handles the break first you use them, I've patched tubes, I have carried the CO2 kit, a small bicycle hand pump and even at one time had that valve thing that screwed into a spark plug and supposedly pumped air into a tire, the one time I needed it to work it didn't. I even used one of those foot pumps, people with bad knees and ankles (like me) shouldn't use those. Currently I use Dynaplugs and one of their pumps the kit fits into a small case. I do like the chucks and air hose setup I might have to make one up I got an old bicycle pump Im not fond of. 😆 The fire thing I've seen videos of Russian truck drivers doing that. Any recommendations for a specific model? I've been thinking about getting one for the car to top off a few psi if necessary, if it's completely flat it's time for the spare / professional help anyways. But everything I've found so far looks pretty flimsy, and life is too short for shitty tools . . .
I managed to seat (then inflate to pressure) my front tire with a bicycle pump. It was a real pain trying to pump fast enough, then filling the whole tire. Good reminder to not let the pressure get that low next time!

You should only do this with a fuel injected engine, just take of the injector electrical connector. With a carburated engine you will also pump fuel into your tires. Not so good... (I love my old boxer)
Is it possible to inflate the tyre by CO2 from the exhaust via a tube to the tyre ???😉 Edit : actually some genius have done this already 😂😂😂😂 👉ua-cam.com/video/d2b2x_sUQcc/v-deo.html
Trick 3 pumps a perfect mix of gas and air for combustion into your tire. Wouldn't recommend unless you unhook the fuel injector(s) or disable your carb. Great videos regardless
I’ve had great success with the little gas cylinders for repairing flats, you just need the good connection hose. Also, if your doing a heap of off-roading use a mousse.

"Endothermic" is not just a chemistry term, it can apply to any process that sucks up heat. He's using it correctly.
I really need to say i love this Channel, it got me into motocylces, i own 2 now. Greetings from germany, ride safe everyone, and special greetings to FortNine you guys are awesome!!!
Instructions unclear, houses now on fire...
Thats a nice makeshift compressor you made there removing the sparkplug. Who would have thought! Genius stuff man.
i like it, all about tire inflation then at the end you throw a valve on the floor to go into someone elses tire lol
Brilliant, creative, entertaining and fantastic as usual. Because of my mechanical skills, my road repair kit consists of credit cards and a cell phone (and a Spot when I stray too far from civilization.). You are The Best, Ryan!
At the end I thought Ryan was going to huck that dead tyre into the river when he picked it up
Cool video, my preferred method is a small manual bike pump and a ratchet strap to help set the bead if needed.
This is some truly MacGyver S*!T !! 👍🏍️
Mate,
I always hook the compressor to the valve running for an unseated tyre.
Looks and sounds impressive when I light the flame. 50 plus times no fails. Had a paddock car we used to do this to as it always had a flat.
Yo Cameraman..High-5
Kudos to the FortNine team for ANOTHER great video! The "Proof of Concept" written on the balloon was the sort of humor (I know...for you, it's "humour") I've come to know and love. I'm glad you're part of the motorcycle community!
3:50 Why not run the Engine on the remaining cylinder(s) ? Am I missing something?
You should only do this with a fuel injected engine, just take of the injector electrical connector. With a carburated engine you will also pump fuel into your tires. Not so good... (I love my old boxer)
Hey Ryan,
You never stop to amaze, simple practical solutions for every day problems which people face.
Keep it up buddy
YES! FIRST!
you were actually first gg
That Starfighter and Yeager comment was gold. Nice job. 🙂
Is it possible to inflate the tyre by CO2 from the exhaust via a tube to the tyre ???😉
Edit : actually some genius have done this already 😂😂😂😂

Trick 3 pumps a perfect mix of gas and air for combustion into your tire. Wouldn't recommend unless you unhook the fuel injector(s) or disable your carb. Great videos regardless
“How to inflate your tire without a pump”
*Don’t deflate them*
Such a good channel guys!
Great idea, lets pump some fuel into the tyres lmao. using the engine to pump up a tyre isnt such a smart idea
Why not? Gotta keep those tires toasty in the twisties
Nothing To See Here Beats the hell out of walking out of the bush etc
@@mistaepik should be marketed as a feature
I’ve had great success with the little gas cylinders for repairing flats, you just need the good connection hose. Also, if your doing a heap of off-roading use a mousse.
Woohoo I'm second.....
your quality and the story telling is top notch..
First
Wow very informative and wondeful tips for motorcycle travelers like us thanks fortnine
