It took 13 years and an Australian rugby channel to upload this kick in a good quality . Congrats to the people who run this channel , the content is amazing
yep, i kind of get the idea of where to hit and how to curve the ball, i did one really good curve but other times it was jut a shitty wobbly ball that barely went anywhere

He knew there was a big wind blowing towards the posts so he deliberately kicked it the opposite direction which saw the wind forcing the ball back in. Great bloke, great athlete 👏 👍
0:12; that look of "too easy" and trying to play it off. I swear it has taken me all these years trying to prove that DC got dared to do this kick 😆. The "You Can't Do It?!?!" from the boys dare making the boys do stupid things since ages ago.
He did an interview recently saying it was very windy and that he practised theses types of kicks as a joke after practise. He actually missed timed the kick and that's why it was so low but the "Banana" kick as he called it, was intentional.
@@oramonika9758 yep its kind of hard to get, if you haven't watched how Dan kicked it depending on what side you'll kick is where it curves, basically you kind of aim at like the point of the ball facing towards your side and you hit one side of the ball, i've tried it and wow its kind of satisfying to see it curve but sometimes when i do it just turns out to be wobbly and doesn't gain any meters
I remember growing up watching the All Blacks with my Dad. Fox kicked some crucial goals, I loved kicking goals, so Grant Fox was my fav. That ended when Dad took me to Athletic park to watch the ABs. We sat in the Millard stand because I wanted to. Dad was spewing coz it was a c#@t of a day. Anyway, we go down to the fieldon full time and my Dad points at Fox and says "look at his jersey, it's spotless" He was right. Not a stain on it. Then he points at ZinZan Brooke - jersey ripped and covered in mud.. "Now THAT'S a f#@kin rugby player" Lesson learned. Grant Fox, as a first five, isn't in the same stratosphere as Dan Carter, let alone ball park. Carter made all his tackles THEN he dismantled teams with any number of weapons in his arsenal. Grant Fox isn't even the best sportsman in his immediate family. His son has that honour.
@@MarkWhippy Just a forward pass for one moment. The rest of the time you were clueless. Funny how NZ, when they lose, it is because the are either robbed or poisoned. Never accept defeat and consider your own faults. Like kids. I still can hear Graham Henry crying from my window. And funnily enough we don't hear you about 2011...
Alexandre Garcia I said it tongue in cheek, I don’t care anymore because NZ has won it three times now. In fact I didn’t want NZ to win the last World Cup because it would have made rugby boring if NZ was to win it three times in a row. fyi though, that forward pass was for the winning try, so yes that one moment changed the result of the game.

Yeah I was going to point out that it's the first time I've seen a footage of that feat that isn't deep-fried into oblivion
@J G hahahaha not with the a-league at the top it wont
@J G soccer is boring, all those countries that play it the men aren't man enough for rugby
Exactly. There's like 3 videos of this kick that was shot with a potato..
@J G shut up
This is one of the most important moments in the History of all sports mates.
when I saw this it changed how I saw rugby and any sport involving the movement of a ball
bend it like Carter
People don’t realise how hard you have to kick that and how precise you need to hit across the ball. 👌🏽
yep, i kind of get the idea of where to hit and how to curve the ball, i did one really good curve but other times it was jut a shitty wobbly ball that barely went anywhere
@J G I'm impressed that people want to follow a sport thats full of dramatic princesses
@J G nobody asked
People absolutely realise. It's not a difficult concept to understand and you're not Einstein for knowing it.

Best kicker to ever play the game he swung the ball right to left there's not another person who has done this there is only one
Johnathan Thurston...!! Every kick is bent.

The greatest conversion ever.
Greatest conversation or dead ball strike ever.

Rugby au always uploads quality vids...👍
No need to do that except to show off with a lead that wasn't at risk. LOVE IT GOAT.
Ty for this, one of the best kicks ever in the sport.
Amazing kick, I couldn’t kick the ball more than 2m let alone kick it that far and accurately go in between the posts 🤙🏽
Legendary 🔥🔥🔥
This is the kick I tell people that don't believe a lefty can pull off and see the reaction on the person face trying to figure out how
Good upload!
this is the Roberto Carlos of rugby
Doc said it first. Right to go left
Just wooow! Very rare...! 😱
This conversion changed dan carter's life
If he did that back in the old days, he would have been accused of witch craft and then burned at the stake for that amazing kick
up to date i love crusaders cause of carter . all the way from kenya
Fun fact - Dan Carter identifies as an air bender from Avatar
I'm fucking flabbergasted
Easy with posting this sort of thing! My wife's on this app.
what the ... before he kicked it i expected it to curl from left to right
Dan Carter be using aimbot
The moment we all found out that with the winds help..you can do a boomerang kick in real life and not just the rugby video games 😂😂
Except it wasn't windy.
He was so good that he could do that on purpose in a match… mean look at the guy’s hair cut cool Cat 😂😂
Meanhwile, Frans Steyn’s kick is still going over the stadium.
Was it some kind of windy that day or was Carter just showing off?

👍👍👍👍
It’s called the banana kick
Eh? Surely that defies logic. Even if the breeze caught it, it wouldn't make that much of a difference, would it? What did I just see?
this kick doesnt make any logical sense LOL im still trying to figure how he did that to this day
wind
Here because Reece Walsh just produce a similar kick😂
Reece’s one had a bit more wind to his one so maybe luck

I love how the opposition just start running back for the reset while the balls still on it’s trajectory because they just know it’s Goat DC.
