This os the history tour where almost everything was playback. MJ couldn't sing anymore. I've seen this live twice. You couldn't hear his real voice as the mic was muted. So I'm very surprised that he even sang while it was playback through the FoH. It doesn't make sense as his voice was shattered. Why would he even try? If you want to hear him live, listen to the Bad Tour. Amazing singing and dancing.

If you had laryngitis (inflammation can cause the larynx to swell so badly that breathing becomes difficult), would you say that you could move for two hours straight while suffering from it and still sing a perfect song? huh? I’m sure he was the closest human being to God, but he was still a human being just like us. He sang to us even though he was not in the best of health at the time and was quite tired. The entire History tour was playback. I've seen him twice live during the History tour. Both were completely playback. Not an infection. Just not capable anymore. MJ did not want to go on tour, but sales of the History album were very low, so to compensate, management decided that a tour was needed. It's the same reason why This is It was planned.

He could only have moved his lips as if he was singing or sing but not yell at all just sing but at the same volume as us when we speak. It's stupid to sing behind the playback so people think you're singing, it's obvious Michael was lip syncing the vocals and, take Scream in Gothenburg for an example, the lip sync doesn't work and no one ever turns on Michael's mic It's just instrumental. I think Michael asked those in charge of the volume not to turn his microphone on if there is a problem with the playback, only to do so if there was no way to turn the playback back on and he would have no choice but to sing live. like in Beat it in Sydney that the problem with the playback could not be solved and he had to sing live.

look at adlibs in other songs in which the mic feed of the whole song was leaked, for example beat it or billie jean, and you will see that there is no difference in the voice, and the sound quality is much better because it is the sound directly from the microphone, and these errors are probably because someone didn't match the instrumental to the voice (a capella) or the video well before the leak

To be honest I'd much rather have heard his natural voice at the concert no matter how weak it was. Most of the concert/tour was lip synced. Fans were commenting on it and on the whole it wasn't really an enjoyable experience.
People saying "he was sick and worn out by fame"-this is not an uncommon thing in live performances-he can still sing like he always did here, but it's clearly playback, and this is the mic signal. Good singers actually use their voice while singing playback to make it look more believable. :D

On peux voir au moins le HIStory sans le playback… mais malheureusement les gens oublient que c’était une période compliqué pour sa voix…😢
People saying "he was sick and worn out by fame"-this is not an uncommon thing in live performances-he can still sing like he always did here, but it's clearly playback, and this is the mic signal. Good singers actually use their voice while singing playback to make it look more believable. :D
