This piece is a hidden Gem! I would rate the studio quality high in true 80s style. The detail in the stereo mixing did not go unnoticed. A Great 80s interpretation on many of the loved, vintage, Donkey Kong musical pieces. The visuals add a nice touch. I would love to walk into a lobby of a business somewhere and see this on a display along with hearing the music that goes with it.

Hi man. Like everybody else said, this mix is dope. Just wanted to add that I personally love it and I listen to it every day ever since imyt showed me this existed. I drum along with it too for fun. I just love it so much, some of my favorites tracks too... so nostalgic and melancholic. Thank you again for sharing your work.

Rather than lifting the quote directly, I changed some of the words to fit a musical context. I really had no idea that there actually was a part that was 88 bpm! That's so cool! 👍👍

For some reason when listening to mining melancholy I imagine a giant neon donkey kong made out of minecarts... As some sort of mech that fires neon rockets that explode into giant neon explosions fighting against giant neon crocodile's... In neon...
did this style last year for the teaser of life in the mines and thought it looks too cool for just using in a teaser.. it really pays tribute to the cool shape of the delorean 🙌
i love those, but aren't they retro enough? 😌 i did this because i always wanted to create my own versions of some DKC tracks and retrowave seemed to be the perfect style for those compositions.. you could literally just add a beat to the originals and they immediately blow up! rest is playing with synths from the 80s era 🐒
