Heeey, thanks for this! Just tried it, and tastes great! Seems more convenient than using 3 cups of milk, and having it escape :D One thing to note, low heat means low heat. or you will have grain stuck to your pan!
good thing you mention measures in ml - the regular measuring cup is 250 ml. it seems easy to make. I'll try a savory version though - I'm not only gluten intolerant, I'm also diabetic. may you already have a non-sweet version?
I always soak millets overnight. Removes physical acid effectively and cooks well. Second method I have tried is to roast millets before washing. I roast them well and then pressure cook. I prefer a Ganji like consistency so I kind of over cook them.
Cows Milk is high protein and has lots of vitamins. Jaggery although has more minerals than table sugar, is still an unhealthy choice as its still just highly concentrated sugar.
i overcooked mine by about 5 minutes (high altitude). i also made sure to dry and pre-heat them fully in the pan step. i still had a few hard kernels, but not more than usual. My problem with this recepie is the use of too much water. I will try following these steps, but using milk for the first two cups as well as the last one. Using low heat will hopefully be sufficient enough to prevent running.

Just recently bought millet and didn’t know what to cook it with. You came just in time! Also it came out so tasty!! 😁

Urrm please I want to know if I can use any other type of millet for this recipe
the puffy millet texture makes more appetizing than oats porridge etc.

Over washing millet will drain it's nutrients.. If it dusty, wash once... Max two times
If we add sugar& milk how is it healthy?? add vegan milk and jaggery instead of white sugar.
cow milk is healthy.

Hi! We used proso millet
Pshono na snidanok
This is not the correct recipe … I tried this but the millets were still raw … I guess we have to boil the millets properly in pressure cooker

another thing that's helped me with my millet, is soaking it over night before-hand. tastes better and softer!
Mine turned out perfect
