Ranger for work all day. I use a Northstar for land surveying work 8-12 hours a day. Love the heat this time of year. Have an older Ranger for use at home hauling wood, the sprayer, etc... For fun I have ATVs, I enjoy riding not driving.
Good for both worlds but not best . Won't hang with Pro R or X 3 on hill climbing , rock crawling or fast trail riding. But it is the best for yard work
I do like that the manufacturers came out with the cross-over models. If we only can get them to put the better suspension in them with longer wheel travel... i would be sold on them.
You may be right if you are using the Ranger for comparison. I have a General ‘22 XP4 Trailhead and I am going most places but no sand… because I don’t want to!
I have a Yamaha Rmax4 LE and I have spent a fortune to try and make is as sport as I can but honestly its not even close. I want to sell it and get what I should have got from the beginning!!!
As an owner of both platforms, how would you compare the Turbo S platform to the Pro platform? As someone with a growing family, I’ll eventually need a 4 seater. Currently thinking the best machine for us would be either a Turbo S4 or a Turbo R4. I know you have a 2 seat Pro R, so not the exact same machine I’m looking at, but curious what your overall impression of the platform is since they are similar suspension and body wise. The Turbo S is an awesome machine, but with them no longer in production should I still be considering it, or sticking with the newer platform?
i really like the Turbo S platform but if i was in your shoes, i would get the Turbo R because of the reason you stated... They no longer make the Turbo S. The Turbo S has been one of the most durable machines i have owned. We have owned it since 2018 and its still running strong.

General is definitely a great machine. The manufacturers coming out with the crossover was a great thing... A little most wheel travel & I'm sold.
