- What's the Fastest Way to Kill in Minecraft 1.17: The Caves and Cliffs update? Since I originally asked What's the fastest way to Kill in Minecraft back in 2015, the game has changed substantially and a number of Minecraft Snapshots and Minecraft updates have been around, bringing new minecraft blocks, new minecraft items, and new minecraft features to the game. Some of them are useful for killing things in Minecraft. So in this video we find out what's the best weapon in Minecraft? What does the most damage in Minecraft in the shortest amount of time.

1. I didn’t show the axe as it’s the same speed as the sword, so would give the same outcome. It’s the same reason I didn’t show a diamond sword!
However regrettably I didnt try it fully enchanted. It looks like it could deal a tiny bit more damage putting it in line with the netherite sword + crits + strength.
That’s very interesting indeed… doesn’t change the results in terms of overall speed, but goes to show there’s always something to be learned!!
2. Harming arrows were loaded into the bow, and the crossbow (you can see the particles)
3. I did do TNT minecarts, I don’t know why there are so many comments saying I didn’t!
4. Nether beds I probably should have included in hindsight. I thought they were a bit niche (I know they’re good for dragons, but as a general weapon it seemed a bit of an odd choice!) but given I showed a trident during a thunderstorm, they probably would have fit in the list fine 😂

As a complete weapons nerd player on my servers, I would like to add that if u are going for a fire aspect sword, do not bother with Knockback II. Since you would have to walk towards that mob or player or expect them to walk towards u to deliver a second hit. If u are not a combat expert, knockback is advised so u do not take much damage while in combat. Otherwise, you can skip the Knockback II, use Fire Aspect II and Sharpness V and Sweeping Edge III and dominate without much effort. Also if u know how to time your hits or strafe, knockback will be a useless and somewhat time wasting enchantment to put on you sword. I would advise putting Knockback 2 on your Axe, since axe needs a more longer attack speed than the sword. ⚔
I diagnose you with “Bloodlust Withdrawal”
It’s extremely rare and nearly incurable, as it only develops in those silly enough to believe that they can go at least a full year and a half on a ridiculous server without killing anything. I’m prescribing a few required minutes a day of listening to “Stal” to clear your head and a good deal of manual deforestation to take out your anger and partially satiate your obviously innate and un-buriable desire to do harm to blocky creatures.

Just a note for anyone curious, Harming arrows don't actually deal extra damage. Using a harming arrow from a fully charged bow with higher than Power II is pointless.
The reason is that the way a harming arrow works is it checks the shot damage and then makes up the difference to bring that damage to 12. At Power III, the base damage from a fully charged shot is higher than the cap for a harming arrow to make up the difference for. Basically, using harming arrows in a strong bow just raises your minimum damage from undercharging, and has no effect on your maximum damage.
This is just to get out all his rage before going onto hermitcraft

Once we get into the split second deaths, they can be measured well using game ticks. By default the game ticks 20 times a second, so the crystal takes one tick to place and another to explode, making it 0.1s. This goes down to 0.05 if the bed/crystal is already placed. A bed in the nether is the exact same. Talking with a critical hit, if done right, can be only one tick, or 0.05s.

Not even anarchy servers, I played in a vanilla server with rules and used crystals for pvp.
I use them to quickly get rid of builds I don't want.

Mumbo now:
2:35 tipped arrows will be fired from a bow only if they are in the off hand while charging the bow.
The bow does 6-7 damage normally, with the power 5 enchantment giving 125% increase (225% total) bringing it up to roughly 13-15 damage per shot plus the tipped arrows giving an unblock-able 6 extra damage putting us at 19-21.
Now this may feel like it still could only 2 shot sometimes, but flame gives an immediate extra point of damage the moment the arrow hits making the maxed out bow deal 20-22 damage in the tick that the arrow hits
(Also since the crossbow can't be enchanted with power, i heavily recommend a bow over a crossbow)
You can use a tipped arrow if it's in you're inventory
