The most beautiful sight in the world is that tanker dropping down out of the sky to drop retardant. They came right over my house back in 2011 fighting the Tri-County fire near me (north of Houston). They had just come off the Bastrop fire.

@@SamWilkinsonn That fire retardant is the same fertilizer ingredients as are used on farms around the world. You do know that plants need those nutrients to grow, right? And guess what - the added benefit of fire retardant is it helps encourage regrowth after the fire is over.

They are brave men and women and may they be filled with God's spirit to continue working hard but seeing the size of the fire and watching them throw water on it...
