  • Jay Shetty sits down with Tony Robbins to talk about what it truly means to take care of yourself and your body. Often, when we’re young and full of energy, we become fearless, we become risk-takers, we become someone who can do anything and can be anything. But going down this path, without paying attention to our health and what our body needs to stay in shape, our body ages rapidly, we get sick, we become weak.
Tony Robbins is an entrepreneur, #1 NY Times bestselling author, philanthropist, and the nation’s #1 life & business strategist. He has empowered more than 50 million people from 100 countries around the world through his audio programs, educational videos, and live seminars. For more than four and a half decades, millions of people have enjoyed the warmth, humor, and transformational power of Tony’s business and personal development events.

To the *incredible person* seeing this, I wish you all the best in life❤ don't over blame yourself, accept things and go forward. Don't let others define what “success” is for you. Get up, learn the skills needed and get after it, all the keys to a happy life is in your hands. Keep pushing.

      1. On the average day, most people make themselves unhappy simply by finding it impossible to accept life just as it is presenting itself.
      2. If you worry too much about what might be, and wonder too long about what might have been, you will ignore and completely miss what is.
      3. The secret to getting ahead is to focus all of your energy not on fixing and fighting the old, but on building and growing something new.
      4. Letting go doesn’t mean you don’t care about something or someone anymore. It’s just realizing that the only thing you really have control over is yourself in this moment.
      5. In most cases, you can’t calm the storm - it’s not worth trying. What you can do is calm yourself, and the storm will pass.
      6. There is absolutely nothing about your present circumstances that prevents you from making progress, one tiny step at a time...
Think about how these points relate to your life right now.
Your present response is often far more powerful than your present circumstance. A part of your life is unquestionably decided by completely uncontrollable circumstances, yet the vast majority of your life is decided by your responses to these kinds of circumstances.
Thus, the goal isn’t to get rid of all your painful thoughts, feelings or life circumstances. Because that's impossible. The goal is to change your response to them starting today. Once you begin to value your inner peace over your need to hold on, engage, react, or be right, you will in fact begin to feel more centered and whole (and in control). Truly, learning to let go of certain things and detach from certain people's behavior, are two of the great paths to inner peace... In a nutshell, we hold on tight to the hope that things will go exactly as we imagine, and then we complicate our lives to no end when they don't.
So how can we stop holding on?
By realizing that there’s nothing to hold on to in the first place.
Most of the things we desperately try to hold on to, as if they’re real, solid, everlasting fixtures in our lives, aren’t really there. Or if they are there in some form, they’re changing, fluid, impermanent, or simply imagined in our minds-Life gets a lot easier to deal with when we understand this.!!!!
      peace🕊

I'm in tears. I've never heard Anthony Robbins speak before even though I know how famous he is. Thank you for being so vulnerable and honest to share those painful times and how it shaped your focus. I too became the 12 year old adult in my family. And I never correlated that with my weekly aspiration to give things to the homeless when I feel the "calling" to do so. I wasn't homeless, but my mother told me that she made $5 too much to go on welfare. She divorce my Dad because she didn't want to see us growing up with an alcholic. I was so skinny, people used to ask me if my mother fed me and I would just giggle and say that I'm just really active. That was how I coped with the pain.

I have attempted to meditate many times in my life and prior to this CD the only success I've experienced is with live guided meditation. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxzpa8CIfZcihW4Z0F_ja0QF3W9KIatrsq This is the first CD I've used that cuts through my unmedicated ADHD and enables me to truly relax and experience a quiet and energizing interval. The instructors voice is very soothing and pleasant to listen to. I am easily able to sit successfully through the entire CD, and for quite some time after. I cannot adequately express how tremendously helpful this CD has been on my spiritual journey!! Two thumbs up and 10 stars!

Tony Robbins is totally a 2 on the Enneagram. I live to serve and help others too. I hear you brother. It's so easy to make a comfortable life for ourselves. But it's so much harder to help others live comfortably too, but that's the fun part. Send that energy out to everyone listening to you and reading about you.

Jay: Why do we as humans experience pain before we decide to change/adapt a part of life?
Tony: 6 spiritual needs that every human needs
    You need balance between both
    1 - Certainty
    2 - Uncertainty
You need to feel special, unique, positive and connected
    3 - Significance
    4 - Connection and Love
You need to get beyond yourself
    5 - Growing
    6 - Contribution
So, most people are they trying to meet their needs and goes backwards this feeling of uncertainty/fear is what keys most people for growing until they get enough pain and then that pushes him through threshold where they aren’t being mad and they got to change!!!
    So i changed now!!

I also once had a tumor in my pituitary gland, my surgery was done was told I will be paralyzed. I responded no I won't God won't let happen because my purpose is to help others and that was in 2009. Today there's a cyst in the same areas and I'm perfectly fine. I don't think about it and I am great. They prescribed medications for the rest of my life guess what I stopped taking 6 months after the surgerycold turkey. I said to myself there's no way I can take a medication for the rest of my life. Here I am 2023 still kicking in. The only hard time that I'm having is how to heal my heart from the hurt from loving too hard. 😪😭😭😭

The vitamin D thing shook me! A few years ago i was struggling with chronic headaches, horrific brain fog and fatigue so bad i was basically sleeping 16 hours a day - like if I went to the gym for 45 mins for very light exercise I'd come home and need to sleep for 3 hours just to have the energy to put my laundry on. My Vitamin D was 30 but damn dude TEN?!! I attribute mine to long hours working in an office. I've quit that culture now and never EVER want to go back to working in an office it's so bad for your health in so many ways. With Parkinsons my friend's aunt had brain surgery and they implanted some kind of chip in her brain and after a couple of days of recovery she danced out of the hospital she could barely walk in with the assistance of a walker. Absolutely incredible.
