      Yeah. He's done this before.
      I'll be honest.
I've not really been watching in recent years as I got bored with Juliens content. ( sorry Julien ).
But he's definitely done this already.

I feel the same at the moment, all the content seems to be about is buck boost converters. sorry.

Just keep expanding until your neighbors realize you're 1.2m per month onto their property.

Just use a 15 quid laser level? Also concrete stub posts to which you can bolt wooden posts too, will last a lot longer than this method. And a simple block perimeter is even better as you can remove all that damp earth from underneath and control the ventilation. The Romans were right about everything. But hey, you've built it now, so...

Is this old footage ? are you setting the scene for the reveal of module 4 or maybe 5 ? summers coming are you gonna mad and build loads ? how about a new challenge cos you like those and build upwards now ? ....cheers.

This is what 2020 did to us, we stayed home and built sheds.

Wooden posts buried in the ground have a life of 10 to 15 years, what then? My current shed is sitting on concrete blocks and has been there for twenty years. Yes I've had to replace two walls and the roof but the base is still fine.

Some times winging it is the better option, it will pay off in the end, good luck with your build

Good series of videos during covid lock downs.
What are you up to Julian?

Tabs. You need tabs welded to that 1.2m frame so the next 1.2 frame only needs two post holes.
I'm sure you have thought this through, so eager to see what you come up with Julian.

As a long-time FotMS, its very nostalgic to see the humble beginnings again. How long has it been since it began...? Anyway, definitely youtube's most inspirational story. Keep up the great work, Julien!

Is this, Modula Shed v2.0? For a minute, I thought I'd gone back in time... Never enough space for battery storage.

Since "Metric" isn't my first language, what is magical about 1.2 meters? Yes I know that is 120 CM, or 1200 MM, or translated to just under 47.25 inches, but why not 1 or 1.5 Meters? It must be some sort of 2024 version of "pyramid Power". :)

well it's a multiple of the 16"/24" on centre that's common in the US, and it fits nicely with the UK's standard timber lengths

    • @JulianIlett
      @JulianIlett  7 місяців тому

Yeah, a lot of timber is pre-cut to 2.4m lengths. There's enough space inside each module to sit, stand and turn around. It provides enough wall length to fit a standard door.
