Totally inspirational: as a young man 40 years ago, I loved Osibisa: but this is absolutely inspirational: it brings floods of tears to my old eyes: this is the real music, these are the real people, this is the voice that moves mountains. We celebrate our shared humanity in this song.
Dear Wiyaala, I know I'm late, but our elders say any time a man wakes up is his morning. I should have done this a long time ago, but I'm not sure it's too late since you're still alive to read this. My knowledge of music is limited. Technically, I don't know what constitutes good music; but, like beauty, when I hear or see good music, I recognise it. I have followed your work silently over the years with enormous admiration and pride. This morning, I think I should let you know. The ambassadorial role you play for Ghana with your music is immense. The joy you bring to troubled and confused and cheerful hearts with your music cannot be quantified and rewarded enough. I could not concentrate on anything else since I discovered your cover on Osibisa's "Woyaya" yesterday. On my way to work this morning, I played it over and over again and, each time I did, it was as if I was hearing it for the first time. You have breathed new life into the legendary track. It has stirred my spirit and invigorated my imaginations about my personal life and my country Ghana. Thank you, Wiyaala. I now understand why your music is not everywhere in drinking spots to night clubs etc. Rolls Royce is scarcely seen on our streets.
You couldn't have said it better, she's so good and her songs rings an echo in your head even hours after listening, her videos too are simple but classic
so strange how this talent is not celebrated in her homeland yet they celebrate talents that lack originality.. this is PURE AFRICAN.. PURE AFRICAN TALENT....
Because we have been brainwashed and progra not to love ourselves accept our unique lifestyle but always trying to copy North Americans. Always trying to copy other people that's why. It is a shameful and a sad thing we don't even know what is good for. May God help our generation to come out of this nonsense.
Wiyaala's music should be a full course studied by students in the schools of arts in Ghana. How she combines traditional contents and mordern dynamics to produce such meladious symphony is something that's got to be mastered by any Ghanaia artist wanting to become a global icon. Being it music, theatre, painting, photography, fashion among others.
Do u think she can define her music and transform it into the academic structures for it to be studied or some professors hv to do that? Nice music but I think her content will only be a 1 hour max lecture.
Tribalism is our problem too if she was an akan the reception given to her will definitely be different.many will disagree and that's Even the proof.lol
When Marg was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer, we found this song. We danced in the stairwell at the hospital. And when she came home to die, we listened to it over and over - until it took on another meaning: that she could die, at home, pain-free with me. We did get there.
I wander how people ignore real sensible talent as this and promote 100% nakedness ... Slowly but surely you'll get there my dear . Much love from camair 🇨🇲
exactly what i was thinking.. this lady is selling Ghana and Africa more than 90 percent of the others in the industry ..she is so original.. and she surely will be the first Ghanaian to win the Grammys.
Ekow, most Ghanaians don't appreciate creative talents. Only the whites do. Mensa and Kubolor another example, Manifest. They will keep performing to more whites than Blacks because we can't comprehend the uniqueness they bring

I won't say that but I will say the industry players are bias, ignorant and jealous. The last man to get his work in Grammy is from Northern region known as Lucky Dawuni. The north brand of music is untap and original. Sherifa Gunu is another Gem.
