A couple of tips to save production cost, minor points of efficiency. 1 - Stop "cleaning up" the blocks. When construction of the wall is being done on site, all that flashing will be disposed of inside the wall and you will have less to sweep up from the factory floor. It's not going to get in anybody's way so just leave it to get broken up in the construction process and left there. 2 - That will eliminate the need for the tarp on those tires, which I suppose is not to protect the tires. lol
I designed the walls for a precaster for 10+ years. Great product. We got into radius portions, 45s, 90s.. we used 3sf, 6sf, 25sf and stuff. Did some 3D modeling for Dan Thiel(?) To come up with custom blocks, pretty sweet gig
That’s awesome, I would love to get into that. I’m just a traditional 3D modeler for commercial work, and I’ve always thought that making precast stuff like this would be more fulfilling since it actually gets used in the real world.

There’s videos on UA-cam of massive block retaining walls under construction. Awesome construction but it doesn’t compare to the ancient stone walls, they’re mind boggling.
No, they are used for walls along side of roads to hold back the dirt. Let's them make a square cut, instead of a stair step when cutting through the hills.

Shock loading the overhead crane when rotating precast block is extremely damaging to crane and can contribute to catastrophic failure 😨
You do not know the size of the crane and that was not much of a shock.
Shock loading isn’t good for any part of the operation. Crane, chains or shackle.
