- Week five of flight training at Van Nuys Airport. Cross country flight from Van Nuys to San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and back. My communications are far from perfect but I'm working on it. My ppl check ride is in two weeks, wish me luck! Aircraft type Piper Archer II.
Student pilot? Could have fooled me with those comms skills😊
Flying my first solo cross country from KVNY next week. This was very helpful thanks!

Tell the truth...you're a commercial pilot just practicing, right? Expert job. Did my first cross country yesterday, and it was not that smooth
Is the archer equipped with actual radar or were you referring to adsb? Seeing them in adsb still doesn’t relieve you from establishing visual contact and maintaining visual separation requirements. Other than that, very well made video. Looking forward to more
why do u guys call it cross country when its literally a few hours drive?
Read a book
Hi, if you didn’t already get your answer, when student pilots are completing their training they are often required to make a cross country flight. This doesn’t mean literally across the entire country, but rather airport to airport greater than 50 nautical miles away. Think of it like real world flying. When you want to fly somewhere, you fly from one airport to the other. That is cross country flying. Hope this helped.
What Flight School did you use?
The Flight Academy, Van Nuys
Why do you say 015 so much ?
Haha it’s the last three digits of my tail number. ATC needs to hear those numbers In order to confirm it’s my aircraft that’s replying.
@@slavesofgravity thanks for the explanation, as you can see I don't know the first thing about it, but I love to hear radio chatter. Something mesmerising about it.
Hey bro i am from India you send me 10$
