Classic Team Lotus start Type 79/1 for the first time in many years.

The mechanics at Classic Team Lotus start the Team Lotus Type 79 (chassis 1) for the first time in over 25 years. It is currently being restored for it's new US owner and will be travelling direct to the Barber Museum in Birmingham, Alabama for its debut run 21/22 May 2011.

Love this video, and love that beautiful Lotus type 79. Btw, if you look carefully at the dashboard, the rev counter is positioned incorrectly.

We do that on purpose. The eye catches parallel or vertical lines easier than angled ones. So one would clock the tach where the shift point is straight up and down or straight across.
