Martin just wanted to say a huge thanks, been following your channels for a while, i was working a 8-6 job for 15 yrs in the promo gifts area as an art director, your motivational videos helped me to start a very small home business with just a printer, mug press and heat press, at the start of this year i opened my own advertising & promo gifts agency in a prime location here in Cyprus capital Nicosia, just know that all the time you spend recording, editing and giving advice helps people see a bigger picture to what they can be capable of. Thanks Lakis
Well done Lakis for making a go of things. I appreciate your comments and hope they will inspire others to have a go. Well done bud.
Cheers
Martin
Lakis Ambizas I totally agree, his videos are great and I'm surprised he hasn't got more subscribers. Good luck with your business.
hello lakis
could you give more detail about what model printer you bought and other stuff etc...
thanks
One thing I love about you Martin is you are 100% honest.
Thanks Joe, it's the only way in my book.
Cheers
Martin
Hi Martin
What what printer would you recommend me sawgrass sh400 or ricoh sublimation
For mug printing i know you recommended ricoh printers
Seeing the Trotter decals at the back there reminds me I have to order a set for my car, still torn between the Daytona Yellow paint or that rust paint as I got the daytona but finding a good vinyl to cover the rear windows that matches the Ford colour as the test sheets I have got so far are way off the Ford yellow.
Hi Martin great and informational video, when I am ready I will be getting your video, and probably need some help, been a carpenter for 35yrs love the job but the back is failing lol age creeps up on us all yeah, but when it come comes to computer will need advice, many thanks again for all your videos and hard work.
Your right in what you say about snowballing . My second mug that I printed was good enough to give to a work mate who had it on his shop counter. The amount of people who want mugs because they see his mug is unreal. It is a Hobby only for me cheaper than most hobbys. I turned down a 75 mug order from the bowls club for now but they said they will ask again before the new season starts so I may do it. Also an old timer who sold all his equipment gave me 6x 36 Tam England mugs he said he had them for years they are quite a thin mug and burn very quickly. Thanks for sharing great advice.
Hi Martin.
Once again thank you for all the great information you share with us.
I was just wondering if you could recommend a cheaper alternative to the Ricoh for getting started.
As you state in the video that you should treat it as a hobby at first, the price of the Ricoh makes it an expensive hobby to get in to.
Cheers, Matt.
so appreciat you showing us how to do it...priceless. Your my go to guy
Hello Martin I am watching many of your Utube videos, great to watch them I am looking into a hobby and thought to do mugs, the Power drive software is this a tool that come with a printer, or a computer
Thank you Martin, great learning curve. Thank you for all your video tutorials.
Hi Martin.
What CD/DVD do you do and how do I get hold of them.
I have had to leave work because of ill health and need to fill my time I already have most of the equipment needed just looking for more guidance from someone I feel I can trust, so that I don't make to many mistakes,
Regards.
Arthur.

I've done similar marketing via prospects websites, and just going out to stores. I've had some restaurants ask for free mugs where I can put Ads on the mugs. I'd offer like 36 mugs or more and ask local businesses to place an ad. I put the name of the restaurant on top, and the rest would be my Ad, and 5 others. Great response, but you have to call, call, and call to get customers.
Yes, that;s right. People tend to think that customers just materialise out of thin air. One needs to have a marketing plan as well.
Martin, once again you helped me with an issue that I was having. I was using the Silhouette program to make mug wraps and it took sometime to get it right. I am now using my Photoshop elements (which I was hesitant of using) and with the exception of the buttons in a different place, I have now set up 11 oz and 15 oz mug blanks. Very easy once you have the basics and your videos really help. Thanks.
Thanks Jeff, Yes, Photoshop can seem daunting but I only use a few things. I am no expert but I know what I need to know.

Hi pal I have just started up doing the mugs I am using photo shop with fotorite ink and a epson wf2630 printer what profile would I need to set as default to use everything whith out all the colours running and bleadin
That's not a printer combination I would use for sublimation bud so I can't really comment on that.
Hi Martin,
Just a quick question when using sublimation ink can we use the same printer as the we use for the dye based heat transfers or to we have to get a seperate printer IE: One for sublimation and one for heat transfers?
Kind regards
Ashleigh
Yes, Ashleigh, you need a different printer as you can't use 2 types of inks in one printer.
Cheers
Martin
High Martin, Just purchase your dvd and tshirt one too. So I know you have a Epson you use for t-shirts so is it better to have the Ricoh printer for the mugs and if so which model is better?
Yes Steph I use a Ricoh for the mug printing. Check out the Ricoh 3110 with the sublimation inks as in the dvd.
Cheers
Martin

Yes, the mug uses sublimation ink and the t shirt printer I use standard dye inkjet ink.

Hi Martin just asking do you always get your mugs press heated up first then put your mug in, I have put mine in then let it heat up to temp then it clicks to the timer automaticaly , would this sound right ot should i do it your way ? thanks Martin
It doesn't really matter Paul, The timer will only start when the mug reaches the correct temp with my press.

Hello.
Which printer do you use to sublimation?
I am using the Ricoh 3300 printer. It's an old one now but the 3100 is a newer one.
@@reviewthat .net
Do you do thermal mugs, flasks or travel mugs?
Not me personally but there is a vast range of things to sublimate onto.
