I love this song. I remember when I sat around the Christmas tree watching my children unwrapping their gifts. They are grown now and children can grow away from you. Now I sit alone on Christmas because they don't even come to visit me. It hurts but I'm good because I have God. He will never leave me or forsake me.

I'd rather they be at home and safe with their families, rather than traveling to Louisiana to be with me. The only thing that saddens me, is that I lost a son December 23, 2021 last year. It's Christmas day, and my niece and I are visiting my other niece (her older sister) at this specialty hospital where everyone in here has a Tracheotomy and/or feeding tube. My 30-year-old niece has had a massive stroke due to complications from Sickle Cell, and I'm sure adverse effects of the medications to help control it. My niece's name is Estelle; my mom's namesake. Ironically, my 71-year-old mom died a month before my niece's stroke, from complications from a massive stroke. 😑 Yeah, the adversary tried it. Every Christmas, my niece, Estelle, is usually at her mom's house, helping her mom cook to these songs. So, I'm sure past the sad face, it's reminding her of great times. 🙏🏽 God bless all the patients here at Ascension St. Vincent Seton...and, all other places like it. Hopefully, they all have had family able to visit them. And my they all have a speedy and complete recovery.
