Thanks for the thorough review. Ended up purchasing this stove (latest version) over the BL 100 T4-A. The latter comes with a heat tube and ignition but after seeing your demo it seemed simplicity and more efficient design was the way to go, especially considering the fit of the Bulin 1.5 liter pot with heat exchanger and camping
    in a somewhat warmer climate.

I just received this set this past week - bought it on Aliexpress. Mine came with the piezo igniter. I haven't yet tried mine out. Wow; that boil time is impressive. I hope I get similar results. Enjoyed the demo; thanks!!!

Very good detailed review. Thank you. I was tempted by this, but in the end I've stuck with the Bulin T4, very popular with fisher folk. It has a piezo igniter, (although I see from other comments, this may have been added to the BL100-B15). The main thing on the T4 is that it has a heat pipe running across the burner, allowing gas to be heated slightly. Really important in the colder weather using gas.
    Still tempted tho...😉

I hear you David, I've seen the Boolean T4. And being a fine connoisseur of camping cooking gear and stoves I have been very tempted. I am just holding off on buying more camping gear and stoves right now cuz I'm in the middle of working on my camper. And updating the truck. But I do love this stove and pot combo it really works very well. If it had some kind of a preheat tube like the T4 it would just be perfect but then again this thing gets stupid hot stupid fast so. Maybe after I get all this camper done I'll look at maybe getting another stove or three or four LOL. Thanks for the comment and views brother.

I have had no issues with it. I keep it in my truck with my other winter gear. Used it 5 or 6 times this last winter to make coffee from snow when I was out helping a buddy drop trees. It works well for me. I have not used it as much as my other stoves but as long as it is taken care of I see no reason it wont last for many years to come.

About the older version: If you were'nt careful, you could melt the gas tube. PaleohikerMD talks about it. I'm waiting for my stove, that's on the way from China and looking reviews to confirm my decision. :D

I love their products, I have same stove and pot, the kettle too and I’m not sure they still make it but there’s a canister insert for the Trangia system that is a fraction of cost of the Trangia insert and works just the same.

@@carmenmartinez2882 nice, in the past when I've made Cowboy Coffee I usually do it in one of my outdoor pots. And as long as I'm very careful with the poor I can keep the grinds in the bottom. This stove is my absolute favorite. I think its the most versatile, practical stove ive used. Low, flat, extremely stable. 0 need for windscreen.
Heat up those heat exchange pots blazing fast. i can use it for much larger cooking pots or pans, and i can even use this as a mini heater if necessary.
Wish there was a screw-on iso butain canister version like msr reactor
