    In your main image, it's unclear that the that one of the rectungular is actually the Window.
    I initially thought it was just a view. In particular in this moment:

    The image on the right. The dashed area is the UIWindow which also happens to be the frame of the view.

    i think at 3:29 you should say that "telling the 'child views of white view" to start drawing "

      nah, i think he's correct. the white view will start to re-drawing itself
