Thing is Brady never lost his hunger and was always striving to get better and that, as bi-product, was part of the reason for his longevity. There is no "what if" there. Joe elevated the guys around him, just as Pat has done with the chiefs.
Mahomes still has ways to go before he can be considered the goat but he’s accomplished so much in just six seasons as a starting QB he looks like he’s on the path to be considered the goat. Winning this super bowl can help the argument for him as the goat.

Patrick Mahomes may not be the most accomplished QB (yet), but he is definitely playing the position at the highest level I have ever seen. He's the best QB ever. No one can do what he does and no one can score and win as efficiently as he can.
HE'S started 6 seasons and been to the AFC Championship game every year... He has been to 4 SB'S and won 3... If he goes to 4 more and wins 3 more in the next 6 that puts him way ahead of Brady as far as time to get there and he will be the GOAT before going 15 plus years... At this point in his career, he is the Greatest / GOAT QB, as no one has started out this successfully... Just My Humble Opinion based on stats and facts...

I try to not compare stats of guys who played in drastically different eras to be as fair as possible. But if you wanna do the stat comparison, I guarantee you Montana will lose. Compare the accolades and individual dominance relative to their peers and leave it at that.

If you ask who was the greatest running back of all time, I think most would say either Jim Brown or Barry Sanders, who played 9 and 10 seasons respectively, so it’s not necessarily necessary to play 20 seasons, unless “greatest” means longevity as opposed to skill. If you look at the skill at the position, it’s already Mahomes. I can the argument that six years is too short, but if he’s at the 9 or 10 year mark, like Brown or Sanders, and continues with the same numbers, that to me seems like enough.
